Munich is a nice city
Pros:

Location close to the central station and the shopping places.

Cons:

Friendly staff and a convenient location right by the Hauptbahnhof, but the rooms carry a lingering smell of old cigarette smoke. It seems to have soaked into the walls from a time when smoking indoors was allowed, and it stays there no matter how well the room is otherwise cleaned.

Of course, the smell may be individual and sensitive noses may be the reason.

The first room I was given also had a sickly odour on top of that, which made staying there impossible. I asked to change rooms and it was sorted without any fuss. The second room was considerably better, though the faint trace of nicotine was still noticeable in the background.

Breakfast is perfectly ordinary, nothing to complain about and nothing that stands out. The staff deserve credit: welcoming and helpful throughout.

In short, a workable option if you just need somewhere to sleep near the station, but the smell is something the hotel ought to address.

Comfortable stay near Munich center
Pros:

Room was quiet, comfortable, spacious, and very clean. I especially appreciated that there was a small fridge, a kettle, and cutlery available. The hotel had absolutely amazing breakfast - tons of variety and all so tasty. The selection of fruit was particularly great - pineapple, cantaloupe, apricots, and occasionally some red currant. Amazing!

Cons:

The hotel is conveniently located close to the center and the train station. However, the walk to the center, while brief, is through a bit of a sketchy area. The hotel itself is fantastic.

Enjoyable staff at the Schiller 5 hotel
Pros:

The breakfast at Schiller 5 was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The happy hour was a nice plus, and we got to talk to some interesting people. The bathroom was good except for the lighting at the sink, which seems to be a common problem in European hotels.

Cons:

The lighting in the kitchen and by the closet was a bit lacking. The kitchen was nice, but there were no paper towels or any cleaning supplies, so we couldn't wash any glasses or cutlery that we used. And, of course, having a duvet on the bed was useless, they're much too hot, another typical failure of almost all hotels. However, the staff readily provided us with a single sheet, which was a big improvement.

La gomma che ricopre il materasso assicura la sauna gratuita!...come pure i piumoni e i cuscini sintetici !
Il quartiere un pochino degradato con la presenza di molti senzatetto e locali a luci rosse; la polizia é comunque molto presente

J’avais réservé et payé plus cher une chambre avec cuisine, mais à mon arrivée, il n’y avait aucune cuisine. J’ai contacté l’établissement, mais ils ont refusé toute solution ou remboursement.

Pros:

Emplacement, qualité de la literie, personnel à l'écoute, climatisation, choix dans le petit déjeuner., bouilloire et dose café (solubles) offertes, minibar offert

Cons:

-Petit déjeuner trop cher pour la qualité !
-Le lit était bon mais avec une affreuse alèse plastifiée à interdire dans les hôtels (je ne vais pas dans un EHPAD)
