The location was great and the building was pretty.
Breakfast was poor both days - poached eggs was only one egg, husbands full English was very small - one hash brown, one tomatoe, one rasher bacon and sausage. Beans were totally overdone and cheap. It was difficult to find staff in evening to get a drink/coffee. Felt like inexperienced staff with little training. Room wasn’t cleaned after first night.
Wij hadden een fijne tuinkamer en maakte ook graag gebruik van de tuin. Want we hadden geweldig ( zonnig) weer in augustus. Burford is heel charmant en de ligging van t hotel is perfect, je loopt zo naar de hoofdstraat met leuke winkeltjes,supermarktje en bakkerij. Een heerlijk ontbijtservice met super vriendelijke serveersters. De service van het hotel is geweldig!! Geen vraag is te gek. We mochten zelfs even de stofzuiger lenen om de huurauto uit te zuigen.
Mijn matras zakte door, ondanks hun fijne hulp ( een extra topper), hielp dat niet.
Materiaal wat gedateerd, dat geeft natuurlijk de Engelse charme. Maar de kraan en douche, raamsluiting doet t, maar heeft wel mankementen ( dat is wel jammer)

Fantastic place to stay just off the High street. Staff were all really chatty and helpful. Lovely breakfast. Great Gardens and plenty of spaces on car park.

Everything it's a gorgeous place to stay.
Lunch only: disappointing, food used to be wonderful but now very ba sic thrown together without much thought. Chocolate mousses were very good but the asparagus and goats cheeses salad were. Not.Staff were very good, all friendly and capable
We had a lovely stay at the Bay Tree Hotel which is in a perfect location and has a great atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, especially Anya at the Reception who was lovely, and the breakfast was excellent.
We stayed in the Ash Room, which is at the very top of the pub. The room itself was lovely, clean and comfortable. To make it even better, it would really benefit from some better cooling, especially during warmer weather, and a small fridge would have been a welcome addition.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily return.
Great staff, lovely rooms, fantastic food.
