The Grand Vue, a great place to stay
Pros:

Loved the location. The decor added to the overall ambience of the venue. It really is a lovely building. The bed was so comfortable, had a great night's sleep. The staff were lovely, bright, cheerful and helpful.

Cons:

The stairs were a bit difficult, but the lovely young lady on reception offered to help without being asked. So helpful. I copied with the stairs but they weren't my favourite..

Second stay and may return one day if passing through Queenscliff.
Pros:

Historic building.

Cons:

High ceilings made it hard to warm the room. Lighting in bathroom 07 very poor if you needed to see in the mirror to put eye drops in!

Good location ‘very heritage’ property. Not worth the money keep driving.
Pros:

Staff were lovely and friendly and the central location was what we were expecting. The linen was clean and the bed whilst small was comfortable.

Cons:

The room was in need of a complete renovation the bathroom tiles were broken and the vanity and shower were new in the 1940’s. There was no internet connectivity, the tv would only tune to Channel ten. There was no wardrobe in the room, so nowhere to hang your clothes. The broken floorboards under the carpet between the bedroom and the ‘tv room’ creaked every time you moved between the rooms. The room had three windows but they were all painted shut so unable to get any fresh air. The room also had no lounge just a couple of old velvety chairs that were very uncomfortable. Sadly we booked for two nights under normal circumstances we would have left after the first night. We would not recommend this place, not value for money.

Never again
Pros:

Location

Cons:

We booked a Traditional with lounge (see VueGrand website) and got nothing like it. See photo of the room we got. To move from the lounge there is a tight spot, the length of my phone to squash through. The TV was on the side wall at right angle to the seating. Impossible to watch without moving furniture. The coffee table had to be moved at night to remove the risk of tripping on it at night when going to the bathroom. Not at all suitable for couples in their 80's

Won’t be back.
Pros:

Centre of town. Bed was comfortable

Cons:

Very very dated. Didn’t see any staff, shower was tiny. unusable desk, felt like I was in the 1700’s and not in a good way.
