Hotel St.Mauritius

Just an average 4 star

I had booked the Deluxe room only for the reason that on Booking.com was showing as the only available room for the dates of July 18 Th to 22nd . My fare was 40 % more than our friends rate.. same size same category , which they booked with hotel directly.
The amount charged to me was not ethical.
I visited the rooms of my friends and I couldn’t see the difference in accommodation or size.
Any how being myself a boutique Hotel owner in Miami, I surely understand how reservations work with our partners Booking.com and others.
Considering that I came recommended by my friend (regular client of this hôtel).
Booking.com could not adjust what I was wrongly charged.
I met with the manager who extremely unfair and did not honor the difference I was overcharged.
I expected a signifiant gesture from the management, just to show gratitude of hosting new clients.
Well we are very disappointed in the dishonesty shown here.
I do not recommend at this establishment .

We have stayed at St Mauritius several
times. We just love everything about the hotel. It is great value in Forte dei Marmi. They keep
the hotel spotless. When booking just make sure you’re aware of all the size rooms and configurations. It can be confusing.

Location, cleanliness.

Абсолютно великолепный отель. Мы останавливались в Punta Tragara на Капри, в Splendid Royal в Риме, и St. Mauritius ни в чем не уступил этим 5-звездочным отелям. Безупречная чистота, доброжелательный и готовый во всем помочь персонал, красота и комфорт номера и отеля, потрясающие виды с балкона на Апуанские Альпы. 10 минут пешком до отличных пляжей Форте-дей-Марми, можно взять велосипеды (кстати, отличные) и доехать до ближайших городков на побережье. Нам безумно понравилось, мы обязательно вернемся. Большое спасибо команде отеля за их безупречную работу.

Great hotel new to saint Mauritius not (st Regis) thanks again

E' un ambiente dove tutto e' studiato nei minimi dettagli. Un ottimo livello. Se ne trovano pochi in Italia cosi. Dove tutto e' molto bilanciato. Alto livello, ma entro certi limiti. Ad un prezzo interessantissimo per un posto come il Forte dei Marmi.

The structure itself is so well done. The la escaping is stunning! But the rooms… maybe one of the most perfectly designed hotel rooms ever. Space between the bed and the toilet with big heavy doors, amazing lighting, shower, and aesthetic are premium. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The restaurant experience was one of the best I’ve had in my life. I’ve traveled the world seeking Michelin star restaurants and this one was incredible.

We paid €795 for a pretty standard room in what is a nice but not stunning hotel. It’s not on the beach (10 mins bike ride away) and the pool is right next to the main road. You have to pay one of the lovely old-fashioned beach clubs nearby upwards of €150 for two beach beds in addition to spend time on the beach.

Our main issue was with the front desk staff. We were only there for 24 hours after a long week of work and asked for a late checkout. I’d checked online and there were many available rooms, but the staff claimed the hotel was full and refused point blank. Instead we asked if there was somewhere we could shower and change before heading to the airport for an evening flight, knowing there is a shower in the spa downstairs that would be free, but they refused. They said we could pay €40 to use a shower in their office but it wouldn’t be ready for us to use in time. As such we asked if we could just rinse off in the shower by the pool, which was completely empty and we’d have been in our swimming costumes, but they also refused to let us do that. In short, they just said ‘no’ to everything we asked to do, which is a bit rich considering we were paying top dollar, and could see rooms available online for the next day at less than €500 a night.

The restaurant is spectacular in its quality, service … and price, but it does have a Michelin star so I suppose one would expect that. The rooms are clean, comfortable and in keeping with the seventies-ish feeling to the whole place, but the bathrooms win a prize, the shower is amazing.

Yes, we’ve given two stars but were it not for the shameful way we were treated by the front desk staff I’d have given three or four, but at the price of a room in a top hotel in a major city I think we deserved to be treated much better, esp as we were prepared to pay. There was no language barrier, I spoke good Italian.

We spent one night at this hotel in a double room with a balcony. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the town, and the beach is about a 10-minute walk away.

Parking is available across the street.

The room was very clean and finished to a high standard. The bed was extremely comfortable. There is also a lovely outdoor swimming pool with plenty of comfortable sun loungers.

The breakfast was excellent and, by Italian standards, offered a great variety of options, including several hot dishes.

We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.
