Sehr freundliches Personal, hervorragende Ausstattung an einem außergewöhnlichem Ort etwas abseits der ganzen Touristen Massen.
I had the most wonderful stay and genuinely didn’t want to leave. From start to finish, everything felt incredibly special, and the level of service was exceptional.
A special thank you to Andrea at reception, who gave me such a warm welcome when I arrived. She was so friendly and personable, and immediately made me feel completely at ease.
Mareike deserves a very special mention for the beautiful touches she arranged for my birthday. I was so touched by how thoughtful everything was. It was clear that she had put real care into making the occasion feel special, and those little details made my birthday stay even more memorable.
And Daniele at the restaurant was absolutely wonderful. He was always so attentive and genuinely friendly, and somehow remembered all the little things I preferred without me having to ask. He knew I loved sitting outside and was always so thoughtful about making sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself. That kind of attention to detail is what makes a stay feel truly personal.
The hotel itself is beautiful, but what really sets it apart is the people. There was such a genuine warmth throughout my stay, while still feeling incredibly refined and luxurious.
I came to Zermatt for a special birthday trip, and the hotel made it feel even more special than I could have hoped. I left feeling incredibly well looked after, with some very lovely memories that I’ll genuinely treasure.

Sauna e bagno turco in bagno, TV molto grande ed illuminazione della stanza stupenda con molte opzioni.
Der Service und die Flexibilität waren vom ersten Tag an einfach hervorragend. Schon bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir mit einem kleinen Taxi direkt vor dem Bahnhof abgeholt – ein wirklich toller und aufmerksamer Empfang.
Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und wirkt wie aus einem Disney-Märchen – einfach traumhaft und voller Charme. Sie liegt vielleicht etwas ausserhalb des Zentrums, aber direkt um die Ecke fährt alle 15 Minuten ein Bus, der einen schnell ins Zentrum bringt. Daher ist die Lage überhaupt kein Problem.
Das Frühstück war aussergewöhnlich und hat keine Wünsche offengelassen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich auch die Hilfsbereitschaft des gesamten Teams: Während meines Aufenthalts habe ich mich am Knie verletzt, und mir wurde jederzeit sofort und sehr herzlich geholfen.
Vielen Dank für den tollen Service, die Flexibilität und die herzliche Gastfreundschaft! Ich komme sehr gerne wieder.
This was one of my best vacations at a hotel. Everything was perfect at Matthiol. Cozy, clean, great location and especially people who work there - great multilingual professional team. Special thanks for Daniele, Betty and Julia. I'm definitely coming back.
