A tired, poorly designed and badly maintained hotel that falls well below the standard it claims to offer.
Pros:

The location was good, right in the middle of town, although from the sixth floor there is a rather enormous factory visible to the rear.

The lakeside view, however, was stunning — beautiful mountains and breathtaking views across the lake.

The gardens were also exceptionally well maintained and added greatly to the overall atmosphere of the hotel.

Cons:

The hotel has significant shortcomings and falls well below the standard it presents itself as. We stayed in Room 606 on the sixth floor and were genuinely shocked by how poorly designed the accommodation was.

The room layout appears to have been created with little thought for practicality, comfort, or privacy. The toilet is positioned directly in line with a glass-sided shower, meaning there is effectively no privacy whatsoever when using the bathroom facilities if sharing the room. The toilet roll holder is mounted so close to the toilet that sitting comfortably is almost impossible, and the shower design is equally poor, with the shower head mounted so low and close to the wall that you practically have to lean against the tiles simply to wash properly.

Unfortunately, these issues are not isolated details but reflect a much wider problem throughout the hotel. The overall design and layout feel confused, dated, and poorly executed, suggesting very questionable architectural and interior planning decisions.

The reception flooring is visibly deteriorating and breaking up, creating an immediate impression of neglect. The spa and pool facilities feel tired, heavily dated, and reminiscent of an old budget holiday complex rather than a quality lakeside hotel. Corrosion, ageing finishes, and poor layout choices are evident throughout.

While the lakeside and mountain views are undeniably beautiful, and the gardens are well maintained, the hotel itself clearly requires major investment, a complete renovation, and a serious rethink from a competent architectural and design team. At the very least, it requires a deep clean and proper maintenance programme.

My partner and I travel extensively and have stayed in a wide range of hotels across Europe. In our opinion, this property is, at best, a mediocre three-star hotel attempting to present itself as something considerably more premium than it actually is.

Der Tausch geht nur zu einer bestimmten Zeit im fest Haus.

Wie immer erholsam aber man merkt die Sparmassnahmen. Aktuell viele Wechsel bei den Mitarbeitern und langjährige Mitarbe

The staff was exceptional - very warm and helpful.
Pros:

It was very cosy and comfortable - we had everything we needed. The only comment I have is that they need to enable Netflix - I would have loved a movie night with my partner while the kids slept 🙏
