Sehr nette Unterkunft in authentischem Pub in Devon
Pros:

Schöner unkomplizierter Umgang, nette Zimmer zu vernünftigen Preisen. Fahrräder übernachten sicher auf Terrasse.
Nachtessen war fein und auch das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet.

Cons:

Im Speisesaal kann es recht laut werden...ist wahrscheinlich bautechnisch begründet...

Nice accommodation shame about the breakfast!
Pros:

We stayed three nights and at the last minute decided to take our two yr old granddaughter with us. I had to phone to see if they could accommodate her in the double room that we had booked, thankfully there was no problem, they put a small campbed in the room , I was really impressed with the fact they were able to accommodate our request so easily.
The room was big, clean and comfortable, the only thing that would have helped us further would be a mini fridge in the room!
The staff were all lovely, friendly, helpful and polite!

Cons:

Unfortunately the breakfast was not good at all
On the second morning of our stay the breakfast was frankly indedible, swimming in grease and not cooked properly at all, so much so that I didn’t bother going down for breakfast on the third morning because the previous day the small amount that I’d eaten caused me to feel sick for hours

Pros:

Una nota a loro favore è sicuramente lo staff, molto gentile e garbato.

Cons:

Per noi è stato solo un posto di passaggio per la notte, ma le stanze sono veramente in cattive condizioni, la moquette è sporca, macchiata e rovinata, i soffitti hanno macchie di muffa ovunque, il bagno presentava la ventola completamente intasata dalla polvere e non era nemmeno molto pulito. La colazione scarsa ma con piatti caldi a disposizione su richiesta.

Great location, poor evening meal
Pros:

Great location.

Cons:

The evening meal was terrible and such poor service from the staff. My food arrived cold with half the teams missing. I had no bacon in my burger and no onion rings as described on the menu. Terrible service and when I asked for ketchup, it never arrived. I skipped breakfast given my evening meal experience.

No lovely place with mainly very friendly staff and poor standard breakfast

Location was great and the staff were nice

Cons:

Breakfast, bacon and sausage were overcooked (nearly burnt) on Saturday. On Sunday the poached egg was inedible.
Bedside lamp did not work (staff informed on leaving).
Despite the curtains having blackout linings, the sun shone through the window from 6:30 and I had to sleep facing the wall with the duvet over my head.
A blackout blind in the window recess would stop this.
Nearly all the staff were really nice and friendly.

The perfect stop over
Pros:

It had everything you needed and friendly staff, the room was clean and in a good location for a base to explore, we only stayed 1 night as it was a pit stop for us but perfect

Good base for exploring Hartland. Ideal for walkers.
Pros:

Well situated for a few days exploring the ruggedly beautiful Hartland peninsula. Our family room was spacious and the main double bed was comfortable.
The hotel provides free parking and the breakfasts (which you choose the night before) were very good. Shout out for the excellent poached eggs!
There was live music both nights of our stay which we enjoyed and the Sunday roast is recommended.
The Anchor Inn has a friendly, laid back vibe and is ideal for walkers. We ordered packed lunches for one of our walks which was really convenient.
Very good value for money.

Cons:

A small thing - the sofa beds for the children were quite hard but fine for a couple of nights.
