Golden Tulip Président Hammamet

The hotel doesn’t really perform as a four star hotel, we still found it to be pleasant and good value for money - but good to go in with balanced expectations. We did have issues in our original room (bungalow) with a leaking toilet, and whilst we were happy with the eventual response (room change at our request and a compliment spa treatment), it did take a lot of time and discussions with various staff (four front desk staff, the guest relations manager and the overall hotel manager) to get there, so a lot of our time and energy was used up. So we would encourage the hotel to review their processes and staff training in that space, we understand they can’t help unexpected plumbing issues but staff response could have been improved. The original room (bungalow) was very tired, had no phone, no glasses/cups, and didn’t feel very clean. It also had stains and a stained cot sitting out the front for the two days. In both rooms, there wasn’t any kettle (which we would think is standard for four star), and water wasn’t replaced daily. The cleaners (in both rooms) would come in the morning, remove the towels but not perform the actual room clean/replace towels until many hours later - meaning you couldn’t shower or dry your hands for hours in the room. The pool area, whilst well equipped, is disorderly and the pool chairs are not set back into rows each day; and pool towels are not provided unless with a deposit. There’s no room service. Just a range of small things that makes it feel less like a four star. However, still good value option in this area overall.

Les chambres n’est pas spacieuse

Unfortunately, this hotel falls well short of the standards one would reasonably expect from an international four-star establishment.

The entire property is in serious need of renovation and proper maintenance. From the communal areas to the bedrooms and bathrooms, everything feels tired, dated and neglected. The carpets in the corridors are in an appalling condition, giving the impression that the hotel has been virtually abandoned.

There is also an unpleasant musty smell in both the bedrooms and bathrooms, which makes the overall experience even less comfortable.

The sun loungers on the beach are equally worn out and poorly maintained, which is particularly disappointing given that the beach itself is one of the hotel's few positive features.

Although the food selection is reasonably varied, the quality of the ingredients and the overall standard of the cooking leave much to be desired. Most dishes lack flavour and refinement.

The service is also disappointing. While some members of staff genuinely try to be welcoming and helpful, their smiles and goodwill are unfortunately not enough to compensate for the hotel's numerous shortcomings.

Overall, this was a disappointing experience. The hotel is nowhere near what I would consider an international four-star standard. It may meet local classification requirements, but it certainly does not live up to the expectations associated with its advertised rating.

I would not return to this hotel, nor would I recommend it to anyone expecting a genuine four-star experience.

La nourriture

Les bangalows sont trop loins. Pour quelqu’un qui a bcp de bagages c’est difficile de s’y déplacer.

Migliorare un po' la struttura,e soprattutto ai clienti che non rispettano la pulizia durante il giorno di fargli notare tutto ciò.Cibsono persone dell'hotel che devono pulire le schifezze delle persone poco educate.

pour moi c'est plus style club med qu'un 4 étoiles. on entends les gens parlaient dans les chambres voisines , les portes qui claquent à tout moment et tard dans la nuit . du rafistolage dans les chambres ,ménage pas fait , pleins des cheveux par terre. le bouquet final pas dormir de toute la nuit avec une boîte de nuit tout prêt de l'hôtel.

The room is far below what I would expect from a 4-star hotel.

It was not clean at all, and there was clearly an insect problem, with worms, ants, and flies in the room. There was also an unpleasant smell.

The hotel was extremely noisy, with children constantly screaming and playing in the pool, as well as loud music throughout the day. It was very difficult to relax and enjoy the stay.

Unfortunately, the food was also very disappointing and of poor quality.

Overall, I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel at all. I was honestly just impatiently waiting for my stay to end so I could leave. Definitely not the experience I expected from a 4-star hotel.
