Breakfast service was slow.
Beautifully finished rooms in a perfect location. We had lovely friendly welcome with good instructions on where to park
Breakfast was disappointing. Weren’t welcomed and service was very slow. Felt a bit cheeky charging extra for a cappuccino when most places would have a coffee machine.
Our room was lovely apart from we were only supplied with one set of towels and our bathroom sink had a really bad blockage
Perfectly situated on the High Street. Wonderful reception . Lovey coffee on the terrace . And a truly wonderful , beautiful comfortable room !!!
Our Luxury room was spacious and clean.
1) Occasional smells from kitchen below.
2) Bath chain far to short meaning when you sat in bath you kept knocking against a taut chain pulling out the plug.
3) No chocolates in room on arrival as described on your site. I mentioned this to two different receptionists but never got any answer or explanation.
4) Room had bathrobes but no slippers.

Great location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, easy communication. Lovely breakfast.
Very small carpark for the size of the hotel and not that easy to find. The reception team however were extremely helpful in guiding us in on the phone to find the exact location.
A very attractive property
It was very hot and despite having 2 fans and both windows open it was so stuffy. Also the shower was stuck on hot and I couldn’t run it cool. The weather is not the properties fault but it was uncomfortable
Plenty of choice for breakfasts which were very good. Hotel location couldn’t have been better right in the heart of the town
Service in the garden area was slow at times, but all the staff were brilliant. The surroundings were fantastic. One of the best hotel gardens

We didn’t have a lunch or dinner there but the
Menu looked high quality. We found breakfast to fall a little short of those expectations - poached eggs were generally overcooked and the smoked haddock with poached eggs was very underwhelming - a very small piece of fish and 2 small eggs sat alone on a big plate. Easy to improve that I think. Also whilst the breakfast room this morning was almost empty we had to chase for our order to be taken which delayed our planned departure time by half an hour.
Also watch out on your checkout bill for the optional service charge - I didn’t notice until after we had checked out, I think the person dealing with checkout should have pointed it out or it should have been added as an item each time we charged something to our room.

We like the decor of the building the friendly staff and the lovely food we had.
There should be a lift installed somewhere.
