all good
all good
Good size room. Great showers
Bed and pillow to soft
Had dinner in the Herd restaurant, highly recommend the steaks. Cooked to perfection.
Staff friendly. Bedroom and Bathroom very pleasant, comfortable bed.
cleanliness, breakfast, silence, television, wifi, staff service was very good
The old style and decor. Comfy bed and bedding. Our evening meal was delicious. Our room was at the back so it was lovely and quiet. The blackout curtains were really good. The fridge was welcoming.
The view wasn’t great, not enough toiletries, the room was so dark due to blackout curtains being so good it was impossible to navigate to the bathroom and back. Breakfast was the worst we’ve had. We had to ask a staff member in the bar for hot drinks and can we order food. The bacon was burnt and toast not toasted enough. I like strong coffee but it was way too strong. I wished I’d brought my breakfast back. The breakfast server wasn’t very friendly, none of the staff were really., except a nice chap at the bar. Parking was tight but free so that was good.
The hotel was lovely but unfortunately we were told when we arrived that the shower was leaking which partially ruined our stay as we were going to a wedding. The hotel did not have another room to give us as they were fully booked.
Room quirky and bed and pillows comfy
Bathroom and shower good
Very clean
Noise from road
Curtains did not block out light
Room hot
The breakfast was expensive £ 35 for 2. Certainly not worth the price.
Struttura molto caratteristica
Abbiamo chiesto una camera tripla e ce ne siamo trovati una con un letto matrimoniale francese per tre persone
lovely decor- accommodating staff- very clean
Nothing bad at all
Location was good and the breakfast was tasty but only warm
The place looks very tired with stains on the curtains in the breakfast room and stains on walls and carpets. The shower was too hot and you couldn't alter the temperature! (it was 38oC outside!) The bed was not comfortable. There was a tiny desk fan which did nothing and you couldn't open the window fully so it was a very warm night so didn't sleep much. The girl on reception spoke so quietly you couldn't hear what she was saying. Not welcoming at all. I had to ask what time was the breakfast served and where. The bottles of water in the room were warm. Toilet roll holder was hanging off in the bathroom due to a large crack in the tiles and the towel radiator was leaking and lots of hard water scale all down one side and the room wasn't very clean. The bar closed at 10pm which I thought was pretty early especially as it is August! The staff packed up, locked up and sat outside drinking and smoking near us which I thought was unprofessional. I gave my feedback but was just told this would be fed back the manager. Not even the offer of a refund or part refund.
Very clean and comfortable room, beautifully decorated. Very nice pub. Good breakfast too. Staff were very accommodating
It was a lovely size room, it had tea making facility's, bottles of water, and biscuits. the breakfast was very nice. It also had very nice gardens to sit in.
The room was spacious, the bed was big and very comfortable and the breakfast was perfect. The hotel has a small parking area but there is also a large public carpark right next to the hotel with a nightly charge of £1.10.
I opened the windows due to the heatwave and the room having no AC which made the room a bit noisy as it was facing the road.
Location is perfect to visit the village and go around for hiking. Stuff is nice and breakfast was good.
The room was pretty dark, didn’t like the decor. It was the outside part of the hotel so I think I would have preferred to be in the main part.
I never had breakfast despite paying £104 for the room.
This hotel was at best 2 star .
I asked why I was paying £104 for a room and a further £17.50 for a breakfast .
Because they only had 2 singles i paid not for a double room but for two people and not for the room.
In my opinion a complete rip off .
This place was old , creaky floors and dimly lit definitely not worth the asking price
Location and staff
Deco and style a bit tired
