The size of the room, comfortable bed and extremely friendly and helpful staff.
The room and bathroom as the rest of the house was outdated but probably it's the charm of the place.
The location was perfect — just an easy walking distance to the train station for quick trips into NYC. Our room was spotless, and the bed was extremely comfortable, making it easy to relax after a busy day.
The garden area was absolutely beautiful. The porch is super nice to read books and meet friends. Staff Robert was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend The DeBary Inn to anyone visiting Summit and NYC.
Our stay at the DeBary Inn was beyond disappointing. In fact, we ended up checking out after one night and had to find somewhere else to stay for the rest of our trip. (We did have to pay for two nights even though we only stayed for one night because of their cancellation policy). Our bed was hard and uncomfortable and the sheets were thin and rumpled. The room was dusty and in major need of updating, the microwave was dirty and the closet contained only a couple of random hangers. The toiletries provided were minimal at best. All in all I would recommend finding somewhere else to stay in Summit NJ
Great location, walk to downtown Summit for shopping and excellent restaurants. The Inn has beautiful rooms excellent service and lovely garden.
We had a large extended family reunion in Summit, and we arranged ahead of time to book the majority of the rooms during our weekend. The staff was great in working with us on that, and flexible to handle our requests and changes as the dates approached. The set-up was great, location is perfect for any and all activities in Summit, and it's a quick and doable walk to the downtown central business district. It feels like spending the weekend at your grandparents house, and I mean this is a complimentary way: it feels like home, it feels comfortable, it feels homey. If you are looking for sleek & modern, this isn't for you.

Outdated bathrooms, thin walls made every sound loud from rooms next door and this keptd me up all night. This was terrible. The worst part - the bed and sheets smelled awful- I felt I was in someone’s terrible dirty bed. Pillows were saw disgusting!!!

I stayed three nights here. The inn is located in a very quiet and neat community, the building provides a warm, family-like environment. The staff were very friendly and helpful. enjoyed chatting with the owner. the free breakfast and parking are convenient, and the location is fantastic with 5 mins walk to Summit downtown with numerous restaurants. Definitely will come back when I revisit Summit.
