The hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely evening meal and breakfast, good value for money.
The hotel was on the main road and due to the weather being very hot we had to leave our windows open so was very noisy at night when traffic passed.

Host could not have been more friendly and accommodating
Old and quirky
No where near
Staff were very helpful and provided options for vegan meal. Beds and pillows were super comfy.
Rooms were double -glazed to keep road noise low. It was very quiet.
No Netflix (but we read instead!)

Location
There is nothing positive to write about this hotel other than the location
Very friendly staff and hopefully stop again soon comfy bed
Could do with a paint outside
Character of the hotel.
Soft mattress. Dinner was overcooked, tasteless unfrozen food. Dinner space was freezing cold.
The host was friendly.
The place looks very run down from the outside. The interior looks like ur stuck in a time warp. Breakfast very basic. The bed was too small for two and was like a trampoline.
Pleasant staff
Fabric tired
The beautiful location is the main attraction for us. Impressive architecture and very nicely decorated.
Dining roon staff were delightful.
Our room 301 had a shower which was difficult to switch from tap mode.
A good place to stay
The public areas of the hotel and the location were great! The room was adequate. Nothing special. We've enjoyed so many places with character and the rooms at the Gairloch lacked that. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it but it was definately a hotel for bus tour type accommodations
Great location on the seafront, you can actually hear waves breaking. Huge breakfasts and having sampled the restaurant one night can recommend that too. Only negative was the room wasn't serviced.
