Cons:

I had a very disappointing experience at Gokulam Grand Hotel.

My family and I checked in at around 11:30 PM after a long journey from Delhi. I had booked two rooms and paid approximately ₹23,000 for one night’s stay, expecting the level of service and comfort of a 5-star hotel.

After checking in, we ordered food because we were exhausted and hungry. Even after waiting for more than an hour, the food had still not arrived. I had to call the in-room dining restaurant twice, but there was no proper response.

The room itself was another major disappointment. The bed, blanket, and bed sheets were old, worn out, and did not look clean. It was unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be a 5-star property. The duty manager finally came to our room and replaced the blanket and bed sheets.

At that time, I also informed her that we had still not received our food despite waiting for over an hour. She immediately contacted the in-room dining team, and only then was the food delivered. Unfortunately, it was almost completely cold. It appeared that the food had been prepared when I first placed the order and was simply left sitting until it was finally delivered.

As a guest paying a premium price, I expect clean rooms, prompt service, and professional hospitality. Instead, I experienced poor housekeeping, extremely delayed room service, and cold food after an exhausting day of travel.

This is not the standard anyone should expect from a 5-star hotel. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves both housekeeping and room service. Sadly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had, and I would not recommend staying here.

Pros:

Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed their time at the hotel. The hospitality was exceptional, with every staff member being warm, friendly, supportive, and always willing to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The rooms were spacious, well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, which was one of the highlights of our stay.

Overall, it was a very good experience. While there were a few minor issues here and there, they did not take away from the enjoyable stay we had. We would certainly consider staying here again and look forward to seeing some of the suggested improvements in the future.

Cons:

While our overall stay was pleasant, there are a couple of areas that could be improved to enhance the guest experience.

There were several large corporate group bookings for company reviews and sales meetings during our stay. As a result, the hotel lobby and breakfast area became extremely crowded, making it quite uncomfortable for families, especially those with young children. It would be greatly appreciated if the hotel could consider allocating a separate breakfast area or dedicated time slots for large corporate groups. This would help ensure that families and leisure guests can enjoy a more relaxed and comfortable dining experience.

Additionally, the swimming pool is not temperature-controlled, which was quite disappointing. Considering Bengaluru’s relatively cool weather, the pool water was extremely cold, making it difficult to use particularly for children. A temperature controlled or heated swimming pool would significantly improve the experience and encourage more guests to make use of this facility.

Ein gutes Hotel, besonders um Bengaluru zu erkunden.
Pros:

Ein Hotel mit sehr guter Ausstattung. Pool, SPA, Restaurant sind vorhanden. Das Frühstück ist national (indisch) und international bestückt. Die Bar ist tagsüber geöffnet und man kann dort durchgehend Getränke bestellen.

Cons:

Pool war leider zu kühl und wurde von Männern als "Telefonzentrale" benutzt. Daher empfehle ich, dass Damen den Pool eher weniger benutzen sollten.

Cons:

Idiotic hotel rules that weren't transparent at the time of booking. This is also something that Booking.com should have taken responsibility of; however this portal miserably failed... Extremely bad and rudeconcierge/reception (I recall a couple of names - Ms Monika and Mr Wan)...
