Hotel Apartamento Brisa Sol

Just returned from a very relaxing week staying at Hotel Brisa Sol.
As a family we had a lovely stay and I wanted to give you an insight into a couple of areas within the hotel.
RECEPTION
On arrival the reception area is spotlessly cleaned and a great amount of seating. There is a small shop within reception which was handy. There is also a small bar which was a great asset.
We paid for a safe of which was 20 Euros, You got this payment back on your departure when returning the key.
The reception team were always extremely helpful.
ROOMS
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and it was such a spacious area. The main bedroom had two single beds together, there is ample wardrobe space and there is a safe in this room. A TV is also on the wall with British Channels.
BATHROOM
The bathroom was a great size with a very powerful shower. There was ample towels of which were provided daily.
LOUNGE AREA/KITCHEN
Such a big space spotlessly cleaned. There was a TV and sofa bed which was comfortable.
The cleaners came in every day and were very friendly.
POOL AREA
Always plenty of sunlounges available. The pool was cleaned every night.
The pool bar was excellent with a good menu. Please be aware that they do not accept cards you have to pay at the pool bar by cash.
CAKE SHOP NEXT DOOR
Not great for the diet but wow a wonderful selection of cakes at very good prices.
LOCATION
The hotel is in a wonderful location, 10 mins from the old town and the strip. Opposite the hotel is KFC and McDonalds. There is a great bar called Net @ Cafe which does great breakfasts and this is opposite Brisa Sol.
As a family we spent the majority of our time in the old town as there was plenty of bars and restaurants.
We also got a taxi to the Marina and ate at Fat Cats which was lovely.
All in all, A great week. I would have no hesitation in staying and recommending Brisa Sol.

Location

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Brisa Sol. The hotel location is fabulous, a ten minute walk to the old town and far enough away from the strip not to be disturbed of an evening. There is a supermarket 2 minutes away, where you can get everything you need for a self catering holiday. The hotel is spotlessly clean in every area, the rooms are cleaned daily and the pool and snack bar are very clean. The hotel pool is great and very relaxed. They allow inflatables and balls. It doesn’t open til 9am so there is not that horrible rush for sun beds. There was always plenty of spare sun beds ( we did go before school holiday though). We visited a local waterpark called slide and splash, which was one of the best water parks we have ever been to (and we’ve been to lots). We booked the tickets for the waterpark through our Jet2 rep and got an uber there. The journey was about 25mins and cost €20. I recommend you use Ubers rather than taxis for all trips out there. It is a much cheaper option. We got an uber to the marina one evening and it cost us under €5.
Now just a couple of negative points but they should in no way put you off booking here, just some things to be aware of. The hotel likes you to pay in cash at the bar and snack bar. If you don’t have cash, you have to put it on your room account and settle later, reception is the only place that takes cards. It is not really a problem but take plenty of cash with you. While the staff at the hotel are all very professional, informative when asked something and polite, I would not say they were friendly, almost stand off ish at times. We made it a daily game of ours to make eye contact with reception to get a hello. It didn’t distract from the wonderful time we had but more friendly interaction with staff would have been nice. We would 100% go back again to the Brisa sol.

Just back from our week's holiday. We had a one bedroom apartment facing the pool. The apartment was really clean and spacious. Cleaners came every day. The whole place is very clean. We had no issues getting sunbeds but it was getting busier towards the end of our stay and there are lots of people putting towels down at 9 as soon as the pool opens. Really nice pool, poolside snack bar and reception area. Two comments but not complaints, for both bars it's cash only (or you can charge bill to your room and pay when leaving) and the balconies on one side of the building are not very private. You can see into the next door balcony and chat if you wanted. Would definitely recommend this hotel. When we stayed there was no entertainment during the day and no lifeguard. I don't know if this changes at busier times.

This is a great hotel, been going there for 26years and in 3 weeks time will be back, clean rooms cleaned every day, good pool and great snack bar, staff are all very nice, some have been there as long as we have been going, location is good for either strip or old town, also next to Brisa is a very good cake shop, in all a good hotel for a great holiday.

After arriving at another hotel in Albufeira that simply wasn’t for us, we checked out within 20 minutes and booked Brisa Sol instead. It turned out to be the best decision we made during our holiday.
From the moment we arrived, the difference was obvious. The hotel is absolutely spotless throughout, with housekeeping maintaining a very high standard. Although the rooms are a little dated in terms of décor, they are immaculately clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay.
We stayed in a ground-floor pool-view room and couldn’t recommend it enough. The views were lovely, and it was great having easy access to the pool area.
One thing that may be useful for families is the excellent selection of English TV channels available. If you’re travelling with children, this is a nice touch and gives them something familiar to watch in the evenings.
The location was perfect for us. The Old Town was only around a 7-minute walk away, making it easy to enjoy the restaurants, shops and atmosphere without being right in the middle of the noise and crowds.
If you’re looking for somewhere a little more relaxed for an evening out, I’d highly recommend a trip to Vilamoura. It’s only around €10 by taxi and offers a beautiful marina, fantastic restaurants and bars, and a much more laid-back atmosphere than some of the busier party areas. We found it a great alternative and enjoyed several evenings there.
Overall, Brisa Sol exceeded our expectations. Clean, comfortable, well-located and excellent value for money. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the Algarve.

Excellent hotel!
I stayed here with two friends for our first ever visit to Portugal for my 40th birthday and after reading other reviews, it exceeded my expectations! There are many reviews complaining about the furniture being out of date and uncomfortable beds. But honestly, as we aren't that shallow, my friends and I personally can confirm that while the rooms are dated along with tired kitchen, the hotel was fantastic! Yes beds a little hard but just put a blanket down as a pllowtop and its fine. VERY clean. Clean swimming pool. Great little games room. Superior customer service with very friendly and helpful staff. I especially liked Elena who gave me a health and wellbeing massage in their spa. She went above and beyond, asking questions and answering anything I wanted to know regarding my health etc. Absolutely brilliant. Food was good. Just a great hotel in a very central location for a good price. Perfect for old town or the 'Strip'. Peaceful too. At least it was while we were there. Even though the World Cup was on! Just a great hotel. So if you're superficial regarding furniture. Not the hotel for you. If you're normal this is a best hotel. I am not easily impressed but this was very good.

The property location was brilliant for walking into the old town

Hotel de referência em Albufeira, com uma excelente pastelaria no r/c do edifício (Riviera) - uma das melhores do Algarve.
O hotel tem uma excelente piscina e é dos hotéis que conheço com melhor sala de jogos.

It was an excellebt lication staff fab comoirtable bed.
The only thing is the decor needs updating but otherwise faultless. Will be back.

Visited in the school holidays for a week, 2 adults and 2 children, we had a apartment. I had previously emailed requesting a floor as we had concerns over a height and this was dealt with.
During our stay we used the pool a lot, we also used the poolside restaurant and bar for food and drink which was very good. The accommodation was very spacious and clean, used the bar couple times and the games room. All in couldn’t really fault this hotel , I would defo return.
