Room was clean.
Bed comfortable
Self check is Crazy. Know one knows what to do and visitors are all helping each other checkin. Way too expensive for small room with no assistance until breakfast staff arrive. We arrived saturday nothing open in area (noone to advise). Only 1 place actuually open for dinner. No supermarket after 1.00. Very noisey. Castle privately owned so no visit. Was nothing to do and we always find something. Also for us no phone coverage.
The views were absolutely incredible!! We absolutely loved Hotel Oberland on our 7 day European road trip and wish we could have stayed another night. Barbara was so friendly at breakfast (which was lovely) & the honesty bar was cute (although we didn't use it as we didn't have cash - bring cash for this!). I know the self-check-in was controversial, but I actually found it very easy especially as I checked in a day or 2 earlier via my email. Our children loved the room and it was very comfortable & a Liechtenstein/Swiss adaptor was provided to borrow which was perfect as I had only brought European adaptors. A great stay & we will definitely return!.

Clean and modern. Nice rooms. Bathrooms were new. We had to leave early so I didn't have breakfast there. We ordered takeout at a local restaurant and ate on the front patio. Nice views from the patio and rooms. Beautiful surroundings.
Lots of road noise on the street in front of the hotel. Church bells rang loudly until at least 10:00 at night (I used ear plugs after that). They were ringing at 06:00 the next morning. I'd still go back to the place.

Excellent hotel with a great location. The self check-in and check-out process is fully automated and very convenient. The hotel is beautiful, the room is comfortable and well-designed, the breakfast is delicious, and the view is absolutely stunning. Everything is modern, well-organized, and exceeded expectations. Highly recommended!
The only downsides were that there was no luggage storage available after check-out, as it was told the hotel does not have a dedicated storage room. Also, the balcony shutters could not be opened, although this may have been for safety reasons.
