Categories

Cleanliness
7.6
Multiple reviewers note rooms as 'very clean', 'clean and comfy' and 'super comfortable', but a few reports of long-term leaking/warped floorboards and maintenance issues lower the score slightly.
Service
8
Staff repeatedly described as friendly, helpful and professional (reception, night porter); however there are isolated complaints about unfriendly admin staff and poor phone responsiveness.
Location
8.2
Consistently praised as central, convenient and an excellent location for George/Knysna views; multiple comments emphasize walking distance to shops and restaurants.
Room Quality
6.5
Mixed feedback: some find rooms comfortable and spacious, others cite small room size (without discount), noisy rooms near reception/upper floors, outdated TVs and maintenance issues (doors, showers, warped floors).
Amenities
6.6
Breakfast and parking mentioned positively, but repeated issues with TV/wifi reliability, outdated screens and limited on-site dining/options reduce the score.
Value for Money
7.2
Several guests got very good rates and explicitly noted good value; others say without discounts rooms feel small for price, so value is generally positive but variable.
Food and Beverage
7
Breakfast receives frequent praise ('excellent', 'very good'), while dinner/meals have at least one strong complaint (pre-frozen/poor quality) and limited F&B options on site.
Overall Experience
7.3
Overall sentiment is generally positive—friendly staff, great location and clean rooms—tempered by occasional service/amenity and maintenance problems; net experience aligns with target rating.

I will definitely come back again. Friendly Staff.
Cons:

Some Menu Prices and Descritions need to be looked at. The Stuffed Butternut with Spinach and Feta was priced at R115.00. No Feta or Spinch as served, instead I got Broccoli and Baby Marrows. It still tasted good, but had I been told the option was not available I would rather have ordered something else or ordered out. Room cleanliness on check in (especially the bathroom) wasn't the best.
