The lady on reception was very welcoming on arrival, and overall I thought the staff were excellent. Lovely building and very good dinner and breakfast the following morning.
Difficult to find from the direction I came from, but there is a current road closure so hardly the fault of the property.
Very large and comfortable room
Location and architecture was superb.
Walls are very thin, you can hear every conversation within the corridors and the slamming of other room doors.
Really nice place and beautifully up together. Nice bar and very nice dinner. Lovely grounds/setting. Really helpful and friendly staff. We liked the partner Italian restaurant and the scenic 10 minute walk down the dive to reach it.

Everything was spot-on. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Food is perfect. Facilities, for example being able to walk in the grouds are exceptional. Well done to all concerned.

Location was beautiful. Had high hopes from the exterior of the property but the interior wasn’t the same quality
The carpet had very heavy staining (possibly bleach) the bathroom door handle was broken which made it impossible to close and lock. The chairs on the room were worn thread bare in places. Just felt like it was once a nice hotel but now it was worn and tired.
Good location, clean, good sized rooms
Were there in heatwave and put in a boiling hot room at front of hotel where the bathroom radiator couldn't be turned off! Helpful receptionist got us moved to the back of house where heat more bearable. Had to pack up and move all our stuff. Situation could have been avoided - nobody would sleep in that temperature.
Friendly welcome and good clean room with a comfortable bed. The bar had a great selection of drinks and overall a great stopover on the way up to Scotland and the north.
