Breakfast choice was excellent ( no cooked breakfast ) gluton free options for my partner and lots of berries etc to go with my muesli
Hotel was excellent on all fronts
We booked last minute for an overnight stop on way to Scotland. The room was spotlessly clean and a decent size in a historic property. The breakfast was super and the staff were very friendly - both at reception and at breakfast. Oakham is a sweet town - and big shout out to Jashir- an Indian restaurant in nearby high street - where we had some of the best Indian food we have eaten in a long time ( and we eat a lot of Indian food!)
nothing - everything was good and as expected. If I was being picky I would want a bigger room if I was staying for longer than a night - but was perfect for our one night stay. Parking was a little challenging in tight spots with full car park - but it was free and no complaint as such.

The room was comfortable, quiet and the carpet was really clean. That doesn't happen often. Dinner was exceptional.
Continental breakfast could be better. The quality of croissant wasn't great. Parking space is a challenge.
The wisrera was excellent ,we intend to return soon as we loved the HOTEL and the staff.
The car park is very small ,but the one for the MUSEUM is next door , but did not take cash only credit cards
But ours are not contractless. So a trip into Oakam at a corner shop that sell parking permits for the Museum.
Staff excellent - helpful and friendly. Restaurant food very good. Nice friendly vibe in this family-owned hotel. I'd definitely like to stay here again.

Car parking, limited space and not easy for a large car. Bacon overcooked a few times at breakfast.
