Clean and comfortable with excellent breakfast
We loved our stay. Very comfortable room, beautiful spacious bathroom. Restaurant was great, we had both dinner and breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful. Great little hotel, would come again!
Mooi restaurant en buiten terras
De afrekening klopte niet. Er was voor de diners te veel in rekening gebracht. Voelt heel vervelend. De dame achter de receptie vond dit ook vervelend en heeft dit wel gecorrigeerd. Bediening was gestrest terwijl het niet druk was in het restaurant… De kamer was op de verdieping en daardoor erg warm. We hadden de luxe kamer geboekt maar het kwam maar weinig overeen met de foto’s op Booking.com

Easy access for everything we wanted.
Bed size. We were in disabled room (not requested) which was lovely due to space with a dog. Lijef the wet room too. But the 'double' bed was probably the smallest you can find. Plenty of room for a larger one.
Well located for us, with everything we needed. Nice rooms and a good pub/restaurant. Even better as it had cycle storage as we were on an overnight cycling trip

The pub goes the extra mile for it's staying guests. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The rooms were great, although no air con we did manage to sleep as had a Dyson fan. They had thought to pull back out blind & curtains to keep sun out before we arrived
This is our third visit and have always had excellent time.
This time was awful at breakfast. We had to wait for our cooked breakfast as “walk ins” for breakfast took priority over hotel guest!
We ordered two coffees and have always been given a normal cafeteria, this time we had a one person small one to share! I had the yogurt again had this before but this time it was warm and went through me immediately. I realised afterwards the silver stand was not chilled it was standing on. The cooked breakfast all the poached eggs were very undercooked and the salmon was a black/brown edges not appetising.
The dinner room & bar were full of flies. I know it is in the country but there are no fly killers. When you have uncovered food this is not acceptable.
We have stayed at the Hampshire Hog several times now, as it's well-placed when disembarking from the ferry in Portsmouth. We have never been disappointed: the staff are friendly, the pub has a welcoming ambiance and the meals are tasty. This time we arrived at the height of a heatwave and were pleasantly surprised to find a Dyson fan in the room, which was a lovely touch and kept us beautifully cool.
I do find the rooms a bit gloomy, as the lighting is dim and although the colour-scheme was clearly thought out when the rooms were refurbished, it is quite dark. Just a personal view, though.

The breakfast was good and it was hot. Staff were attentive without being over bearing.
We had a little trouble finding the location mainly due to the satnav!

Arrived Monday evening off the boat after a trip to France , really warm welcoming staff when we arrived. Rooms were first class , really spotless rooms , beds were really comfortable and we had everything we needed for a comfy stay. Finished off with a first class breakfast before we left. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
Es stand Wasser in der Minibar bereit gestellt. Einige Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett.
Wir hatten Zimmernr.1 im Erdgeschoß und die Luft im Zimmer war nahezu unerträglich trotz Dysonventilator. Unser Fenster war direkt zum Parkplatz hin und wir konnten es nur zum lüften öffnen, wenn wir auch im Zimmer waren und dann konnte jeder der über den Parkplatz ging einmal quer durchschauen. Eine Möglichkeit es wenigstens mal auf ,,Kipp" zu stellen gab es nicht weil Befestigungen defekt waren. Das Badezimmer war sehr klein und man musste beim reingehen erst ganz bis zur Wand und dann die Türe schließen, weil man ansonsten nicht auf Toilette oder in die Badewanne/ Dusche konnte. Eine Lüftung gab es im Badezimmer ebenfalls nicht. Genauso gab es nichtsmals Behälter um die Zahnbürsten ab zu legen, geschweigedenn Vanitybags. Woher 5* kommen ist mir schleierhaft und wir waren sehr enttäuscht.
Friendly staff, good food, plenty of parking, very comfortable. Pricy when we stayed but that was because it was weekend of Goodwood FoS.
