The chicken supreme was fine but served with FOUR green beans? I pre ordered raspberry sorbet but none available. Given coconut sorbet instead - tasteless! Not my idea of of a good meal. Needs to improve.
Good parking
Great value menu
Free drink on arrival
Good breakfast
Very friendly staff
Very soft mattress
Generally very good service. Our bedroom was comfortable and quite quiet.
We were surprised that there was no fresh fruit at breakfast, but luckily we had our own.
Great stopover.
The breakfast was varied and well presented.
Everything was very good
Nice room, with all facilities and very comfortable bed. Good location off the beaten track but ideal for my
ongoing journey the following day
It was a bit too "pubby" for my liking and the dining area is in the pub area. I didn't think the food (dinner)was so good.
Good breakfast however.
A good place to stop over for Portsmouth and the coast. Staff very pleasant. Good breakfast. Happy to recommend.
Chambre et salle de bains spacieuses et bien équipées. Personnel aimable et serviable. Petit déjeuner parfait.
Emplacement idéal pour arrivée de France par ferry à Porstmouth.
Comfortable room and good breakfast.
Good location for our purposes.
Staff were really friendly and even put a bottle of prosecco in our room for our anniversary!
Breakfast was great and the pub itself was lovely for a drink in the sunshine in the evenings.
Dyson fan in the room was amazing during a heatwave too.
Nothing to complain about!
Location.
Breakfast
Lovely, cosy, well equipped room. Great, casually elegant bar and restaurant, fantastic vibe in the beer garden (if the sun is shinning). Plenty of parking.
Restaurant seemed a bit expensive but the quantity of the servings explained it - don't order too much, you won't manage it all! And it was all delicious. We also got a voucher for a free drink at the bar on arrival so I'm not complaining.
One hiccup on our stay; when our order was taken in the restaurant, after a few minutes my wife was told her order was not available. She instead selected her alternate choice and after another few minutes was told that was not available either. By this time we were deep into our drinks. In the end she had the steak as that was the only item left she fancied. She wasn't particularly excited about it and it was by a considerable margin the most expensive dish so it pushed the bill up for no appreciable benefit. If we had been told at the start the first two dishes were not available we would have had the option to go elsewhere. Overall it's a bit of a first world problem but it did leave us a bit annoyed. But as I say, the food was great.
Most people were warm and friendly and helpful.
Friendly, helpful staff - relaxed atmosphere - large bedroom - lovely, clean bathroom.
Room was warm but the weather was hot.
