A beautiful venue, comfortable beds, well decorated and equipped for a peaceful stay.
Pros:

Jo on Reception gave us an excellent welcome. She went above and beyond to help us booking in.
( my husband is an insulin dependent diabetic and she gave us some helpful options) We'd previously had a phone conversation and she had remembered my request - I was impressed! The room was clean and tidy, the beds were really comfortable and it was Q U I E T ... no doors banging, noise from other guests. Facilities were good.. especially the provision of an iron for smoothing out case wrinkled clothes.

Cons:

The only thing that let the stay down was the quality of the towels (or lack of it).. The frayed edges and lack of fluffiness rather detracted from the overall feeling of comfort. The pre-shower shower was a bit of a shock. If the personnel cleaning the bathroom could just ensure that the shower head is facing IN to the wall rather than to the door? On turning the shower on I found myself subjected to an unexpected drenching. It may be "Elementary Dear Watson" but it caught me off guartd.
