Pros:

Wir hatten eine ganz wundervolle Zeit im Whale View Guesthouse. Die Lage ist zwar etwas vom Zentrum entfernt, aber entlang der Küste kann man schön in die Stadt spazieren. Der 'Haus'strand direkt vor der Tür ist ein Traum. Das Frühstück schmeckte mir als Erwachsene sehr gut.

Cons:

Ich war mit Kind unterwegs - eventuell könnte man auch ein kindgerechtes oder zumindest ein süßes Frühstück anbieten (wenn man weiß, dass ein Kind kommt) - selbst der Haferbrei wurde mit Salz gemacht, aber es gab immer die Alternative ein Brot mit Marmelade zu essen.
Der Parkplatz machte mir immer wieder etwas Sorgen, da er recht eng ist und ich ein Leihauto hatte - aber es ging alles gut.

Great stay.
Pros:

The staff, Macloud and crew were phenomenal and hands on. We really enjoyed everything about our stay.

Cons:

One issue though..
When making the booking i had one request that there be no nuts anywhere because my partner is highly allergic and I received a confirmation email from Whale View Manor stating that they had noted the one and only request however breakfast was served and nuts were on her plate. I asked Macloud and staff but nobody knew of this special request.

It was a very cozy spot with a homey vibe! We truly loved it .

Breathtaking view with walk across the road for open water swim
Pros:

Seafacing room had breathtaking scenery. Sat reading with book in hand in my room till sun went down. Excellent breakfast on the stoep with view to spoil

Pros:

Great property! Great staff and breakfast (included). It had no walkability and you need a car to get into town, but the views and bed and breakfast feel were very nice!

Cons:

Location...but being 5 min out of town made it very quiet

The view is amazing and the breakfast was fantastic.

Cons:

The rooms and showers need some work - dirty carpets. Our bin in our bathroom was not emptied out. We could not find the WiFi password anywhere in the room.

The view! The comfy bed. The lovely hostess. The quietness. The location is what made us stay there.

Cons:

The height of the wash basin in the bathroom is built at an extraordinarily high height, makes using it a bit awkward and difficult to fill the kettle from it.
Breakfast was ok, expected better. Fried eggs were under cooked, the cream cheese used was old/almost off. I advise to check the state of the cream cheese next time before serving it ;)
Also the staff cook/ waiter was playing loud radio noise or something loudly unpleasant from his phone in the kitchen, was a bit disturbing to the peace.

Totally Fair for the Value, Excellent Location and Staff
Pros:

The breakfast was decent, though it is important to note that this is more of a small B&B-style residence than a full hotel, so there is no buffet. Personally, there was very little that appealed to me for breakfast — the hot chocolate was honestly quite bad, and the café latte was only barely acceptable. That said, my father very much enjoyed his omelette and salmon.

The location, however, is exceptional: only a 3-minute walk from Boulder's Beach, with a direct view of the ocean. I especially loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach at night.

Above all, what impressed me most was the staff. Every person we interacted with was professional, genuinely friendly, and always available to help.

Cons:

The rooms are quite small, especially compared to the bathroom, which was surprisingly large. The bed itself was large as well, but unfortunately not particularly comfortable — the mattress was extremely firm. The sheets were not especially soft either, although I appreciated that everything was impeccably clean.

I was also not a fan of the towels. While they were absorbent, they were quite rough and unpleasant on the skin.
