Room was clean, staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good
Lift was broken and we were on second floor so was uncomfortable with having to go up and down stairs as I have mobility issues. Air conditioning would have been nice as there was a lot of continuous road noise when door was open
This was an overnight stay before a stressful hospital appointment, so relaxing was the priority.
We enjoyed most of the spa time.
The beds were very comfortable.
Liked being able to open the balcony doors for some fresh air.
The continental breakfast was very good with lots of choice.
Reception staff on arrival was lovely and very helpful.
Some areas of the spa were quite smelly (drain smell) and some areas just seemed 'tired'.
The cooked breakfast wasn't very nice...it was quite greasy, not very hot, the hash browns were not crispy at all.
The lift broke down in the evening and was still broken in the morning. We were on the second floor and I struggled because of my spinal issues, as did other, older guests.
The hotel in general looked 'tired' and unloved, sadly. There were still glasses etc on the outside table from the night before.
Dead plants/weeds everywhere....regardless of the lack of rain. It just looked uncared for in general which is not so much a complaint as a sad observation.
Location and spa lovely
Beds, not the most comfortable, with springs gone, and sticking out the side, soon to come through the material on the side of the bed
Room was great
Nothing
We had an amazing stay here! Everyone was friendly and helpful! The facilities were amazing
The WiFi wasn’t good enough to take work calls
The staff were friendly and proffesional and the room was lovely bed was very comfy. Pool was great with added extras of jacuzzi and sauna.
Menu could have better options and updating especially for vegetarians. Plus 2 of the veg options were out of stock mid week when we stayed.
Nothing as no room available when we arrived due to booking error.
Not having a room available. Not the best way to spend our anniversary.
Everywhere was clean and modern, the leisure facilities were excellent. Our room was clean and had a lovely view overlooking the fields and canal. Every staff member was polite and helpful they were very friendly. I would definitely recommend the hotel
The road noise is noticeable but only when balcony door was open. There was an eggy smell coming from the little stream by the car park
Swimming pool was bigger than we expected and not too crowded .paid extra for room overlooking the canal which was really nice
Flaking paintwork above pool not a great look and tired changing rooms . Our bathroom was really small
Everything
Very very good and nice staff, service, and facilities
The pool and spa
Starting to show its age lift not working spa changing areas need a clean up
Handy location.
Lift wasn’t working. Room was dirty (stains on lampshades, tape on floor, mould on doorframes, bathroom filthy around edges). Evening meal was poor, skinny overcooked fish (no way was that cod! And I did ask, on the menu as non-descript fish), triple cooked chips with skins on, schoolboy mistake! Condiments from gallon jars. Breakfast reminded me of a motorway services in the 90’s, everything hot was stewed and soaked in oil and lukewarm
We had an ossue with our original room and this was resolved extremely professionally by our receptionist,Sarah. Spa and breakfast excellent.
Some areas within room needed attention. Maintenance. Beds in need of replacing.
Nothing it was bad
Nothing
