This is the hotel I had stayed at twice before, and unfortunately, this time the experience was much less enjoyable.

I was staying with my family, and I was very disappointed — perhaps partly due to my own misunderstanding — to discover that the children were not allowed to use the pool.

The mattress was also not of a good quality, but the worst part was the lack of sleep for two consecutive nights.

Due to a malfunction, the alarm went off in the middle of the night two nights in a row, completely ruining our sleep.

At the end of the day, sleep is the most basic and essential thing you come to a hotel for. Having two nights of sleep disrupted by a hotel alarm was extremely frustrating and significantly affected our stay.

House keeping was 10/10 and trustworthy. The cocktails and service at the bar was amazing! They had events and the club was fun.

The lounge chair issue, but I enjoyed my time just early in the day!

Dirty hotel and unhelpful unprofessional staff
Pros:

Service at the pool was absolute garbage. Spent over $600 at the pool for a bed that was reserved and had out personal items on it for a waitress to allow another guest to move our items off the booked lounge chairs when we first got there. Hotel room smelled like cat pee.

Cons:

Fake dusty flowers were made to look real in photos, hotel room smelled like cat urine and it was not cleaned before we checked in. Cigarettes were in the plants out by the pool as if it was used as an ashtray. Very deceiving.

La situation géographique et la chambre spacieuse, jolie et très propre

Great party hotel
Pros:

I recently returned from DD after our 6th visit and we plan to return. The hotel has always had a special vibe, with a lively atmosphere, great location and a fantastic feature - the pool.

The leadership team are super helpful (especially Sergii and Oeteka) and I’d recommend DD as a great choice if you want a party atmosphere.

Great and different location for a hotel in NYC - definitely a place to consider
Pros:

The location was GREAT!

It is different and not your normal "NYC hotel location" and that is what makes it such a great place to stay. The subway is right there on 8th Avenue. You have the High Line, Chelsea Market, The Hudson River, the start of the village and so much more with Union Square just a 10 minute walk!

Cons:

The rooms - they skimped on them. They are just a bit too small and cramped. The lighting system is weird (Light switch behind the door in the bathroom???) and too bright... The sound insulation is poor too.... Do not need to hear a woman being satisfied in the room next door....
