Beautiful historic building in this beautiful historic town, nice decor and a relaxed atmosphere. Very quiet so good sleeps.
can't think of anything in particular
Staff very pleasant and friendly, room comfortable and clean.
Very limited hospitality trays, didn't feel that the stay was worth the price. There were minor issues with the bathroom which could do with renovating. Interestingly only one bath robe in a double room booked for two.
The decor is beautiful, with the rooms finished to such a high standard and so much attention to detail. There are lots of lovely little touches, like earbuds, cotton pads, tea, coffee and biscuits, which make you feel really well looked after. The beds are incredibly comfortable too!
The host was so lovely and couldn’t have been more accommodating. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and the whole stay felt warm, welcoming and thoughtful. A really beautiful place with a wonderful host i'’d definitely stay again.
The only slight downside was that my room was on the ground floor, right beside the front door, so there was a little bit of noise from people coming in and out. It wasn’t a major issue, but it’s something to bear in mind when choosing a room.
Fab location. Room lovely. Quiet and comfortable and would stay again
Location good
No staff, no bar
Location was great alongside the free parking pass provided. Room was good with a great bed. Not the cleanest unfortunately very dusty and had someone else's hair on the bathroom floor but life is too short to winge about it. Nothing affected our stay at all.
Lovely historic property
Beautifully decorated
Can tell care and effort put into decoration
Welcoming host
Free parking pass very useful
Outside space very nice
Shower over bath(which listed on amenities)
Hard to get in and out of without risk of slipping ..which I did and have bruise to prove it !
Only 5ft 3 so have to hoist leg over bath rim and attempt not to slip once 1 leg in bath!
No handrail to hold onto to
Shower direction has to obviously go into bath so need to have curtain closed as you get in so don't soak everything..which I did at first
Had to use hand towel to put on floor getting out.
Lights on bathroom not condusive for putting make up on..have to use mirror on bathroom door with the window light behind you .
Under cabinet light doesn't light the mirror sufficiently
Breakfast was ok .cooked breakfast slightly on dry side .
Mattress on bed..obviously subjective to personal choice. Found it very hard and uncomfortable personally
Could not get comfortable and slept poorly.
Not had that with a hotel previously so made an impression
Close to where we needed to be.
Was small with a step that kept hitting or falling over didn't feel safe. The power cut off in the middle of the night.
Very clean and nicely presented. Breakfast was freshly cooked and v tasty. Very close to the town with pubs and restaurants within a 100 yards.
Some of the furniture could have been a bit larger. Not keen on over bath showers.
Staff were lovely.
Decor in property and room was beautiful.
Lack of power sockets meant had to put kettle on floor to use it which is a hazard. Would have preferred mugs as opposed to tiny tea cups. Really need a bigger table for tea tray and kettle. Poor quality TV and remote for TV did not work.
Location
Tired bathroom
Clean Linens , Spacious Room
Bath was a waste of time - too small - sitting only
Very Hot weather - Fan was all style no substance
The breakfast was amazing and the room comfortable and of a good size.
We loved everything about this fabulous place. Our room was beautiful and the bed was super comfy. We had breakfast on the two days we were staying and the breakfast was fantastic!
This gorgeous hotel is a gem situated in the heart of the lovely town of Ruthin.
