The Stair Arms Hotel

Bit more attention to keeping the outside area tidy wouldn’t go amiss. Lots of bottles and cans littering the car park didn’t get tidied away the whole time I was there.

Indien je slaapt in de kamer gelegen aan de drukke weg, heb je geen goede nachtrust door voorbij razende auto's. Je voelt de pocketveren door het matras heen wat niet zo fijn is. De keuze van ontbijt is beperkt, zou beter een buffetformule zijn. Het water van de lavabo liep niet goed door en de handdoeken waren niet proper (waarschijnlijk door een waspod die niet goed opgelost was). Kan ook beter gepoetst worden, in de ontbijtruimte hingen veel spinnenwebben. De gang boven ruikt muf.

The room was initially very nice, but unfortunately the floor was dirty like that it has been a couple of weeks that a vacuum cleaner has been used. There was a lot of hair and dust on the floor and in the shower you could see some hair against the toilet. Also the shower was terrible. You could not properly adjust to the right temperature and when you’ve finally dialled the temperature in, it went up or down again due to the changes in water pressure (for a hotel no steady flow/pressure). Also the shower head was not able to stay in the preferred angle, it dropped down immediately. We also noticed that the floor in the restaurant was always dirty in the morning and hasn’t been mopped for a while (the floor was sticky). We could see that they were using the vacuum cleaner, but always during or after the clients had breakfast. Why not before al the clients come in for breakfast? The staff also seemed not very interested in their jobs. Such a shame because it could be such a nice venue.

Es ist leider ziemlich heruntergekommen , massiver Investitionsstau. Zimmer dreckig, Bad dreckig, sogar die Teller. Beim Frühstück waren alle dreckig. Sehr junges Personal, etwas arg unmotiviert, ältere Dame der Rezeption war freundlich.

Car noise from the room, breakfast options limited

On a busy road and further from Edinburgh than we were expecting.
Tv kept losing signal.

Our mattress was broken and bathroom towels were wet when we got there. When I told the staff they weren't brothered and just gave me a new towel.

Kambarys buvo neišvalytas. Visi paviršiai lipnūs ir nešvarūs. Kambary jautėsi alkoholio kvapas, ant spintelių buvo apipilta. Stalčių vidus irgi limpantis. Bendrose erdvėse mėtėsi šiukšlės ir per mūsų penkių dienų viešnagę, jos nesutvarkytos. Visos bendros erdvės limpančios, meniu nešvarūs, puodeliai neišplauti. Mūsų kambario Nr.1 lovų spyruoklės neleidžia pailsėti. Vonios durys neužsidaro - sulaužytos. Kriauklė užsikimšus, neįmanoma praustis.
Labai gaila, kad toks gražus viešbutis šitaip apleistas.

The only thing I was disappointed with were the curtains in our room. Room 8, they seem to have come unhooked at the edges and dont fit very well, also theyre drooping at the top from the track. They need sorting out really, spoils the look a bit really but everything was lovely and clean. The garden area is very big but I think where the benches are it needs sorting a bit.

Never got to stay because they cancelled our reservation due to having a wedding! We were booked months and months in advance and kept receiving free cancellation emails so we knew something was happening! They claimed to have over booked but we feel it was unfair to cancel our stay since we were booked so far in advance! Was not impressed and the way it was handled was handled was shocking!!!!
