It had a potential to be great, but it was still a good stay.
Pros:

I think I got the best room in the hotel on the vey top floor with a gorgeous balcony view. The room has most of the basic, missing a microwave, a small kitchen sink and some utensils to eat with that I'm more accustom to when traveling in Thailand.
The room was sunny, spacious, and has a cute day-bed.

Cons:

Some minor details were very apparent once you start staying in the room like the power outlet by the bed was too close to the ground, making my adapter with USB ports at the bottom awkward to use.
There was a lamp only on one side of the bed.
There's no hook in the bathroom to hang a towel somewhere reachable from the shower. There's only one towel hanger in the bathroom, and no other places to hang other towels for other guests. No hand towel.

Location and the staff were very friendly.

Cons:

The images on the booking were deceptive, I thought the room was going to be larger but it was such a shoebox there was barely space for a desk.
The bathroom was equally tiny.
For the price the room was way too small.

Pros:

Compact, convenient, completely what I needed. Even if I could have used a table to work from, since I was in Sydney for work, I was able to make it work in this hotel. The room is freshly renovated, the bathroom and a second sink in the room was useful for filling water bottles and separating food from bathroom stuff. The WIFI was extraordinarily fast and perfect for getting work done, even if I had to improvise at a workspace. Had a nice view out the window as well and although there is no lift to the floors above the entry, I was on the first floor, thankfully!

Cons:

A desk to work from, but I know that's a niche thing, so wasn't really expecting it. I stayed here for the location really.

Pros:

Loved our stay in the city budget hotel!! The larger room with the balcony was great for our 4 night stay, it was very comfortable and cosy. The staff were fantastic, beds were comfortable and the room was nice and clean. Location was great with lots of restaurants and cafes around. Would definitely stay again :)

Not recommended for families.
Pros:

Good location and affordable.

Cons:

This hotel is inappropriate for families. We booked the family room and it stunk of cigarettes, the thirdhand smoke in the room was palpable and unsafe for an infant. We asked to move rooms which the hotel staff accommodated but the other room also smelt of smoke, but not as potent as the first room.

There is also no elevator which wasn’t a huge problem but not easy to get pram and luggage up and down with a child in arms.
