Bed was very comfortable . Restaurant staff were very friendly.
Exit light in bedroom above the bedroom door was very annoying. Bright light in bedroom all night
.Decor was dated.
Spacious double room. Large bathroom WITH a BATH. Room not above the pub but next to it so not noisy late. Food was OK. Very central for visiting surrounding villages, pubs, eateries. Very friendly young staff. Parking onsite and right outside our room. Plenty Tea and Coffee in room
Early wake up due to traffic noise. Extractor fan not working and full of dust. Could do with a small fridge... and a larger bed...
Great location. Staff were lovely and the room was really nice. I had booked the wrong night and the staff were brilliant and reorganising my stay. Recommended
Nothing
The only positive thing about this stay was that it was close to the wedding we attended
We arrived about 30 minutes before the 2pm check in time. Informed by sullen woman behind the bar that we weren't allowed access until 2pm. Fair enough. When we checked in later the room was boiling hot, window rotten and paint peeling, bed uncomfortable, green light bulb over the door on all night, the stand fan looked like it had come from a car boot sale and made the most horrendous noise it was impossible to have it on. The bathroom door didn't lock from the inside unless you used the key (two bolts, both useless), hand towel had holes in it, rusty radiator, filthy toilet brush. After a dreadful sweaty night we gave up at about 6.30 am and drove home. I am conscious that this was a cheap option but I expect even budget hotels to have minimum standards and this feel far below that point.
Excellent location
The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the local area. A fan was provided in the room due to hot weather, without request and the staff were very pleasant, accommodating and friendly.
Unfortunately the staff seemed undertrained (possibly new?), pleasant and welcoming but unable to use the system and tried to let us into the wrong room on arrival. The room was also pleasant and exactly what was needed but hadn't been cleaned to a excellent standard, it was okay but not spotless. The shower was clearly blocked with limescale as the pressure was quite low.
The location was perfect
No hot water from shower
great location for my fishing trip with good staff & room was comfortable
only one member of staff on at night who had to do everything
check people in
serve behind bar
serve food
etc
Good please
The young lady at the front of house was very friendly
Unable to use the shower. The place is very dated and in need of investment.
Lovely place in long Melford, staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, very happy with the stay, and good value.
The wife wasn’t happy with the mattress ( I’ll sleep on a log) and the shower head needs a descaling, not to much really.
When we arrived the heating was on full barring in mind the temperature outside was 33° plus. The doors within the property were locked with no key access.
Due to.the heat the milk was lumpy.
The heat if the room no fridge unable to use the sink to fill the kettle as the water was not suitable for drinking we had to rely on the 2 small individual bottles of water. No acsess to drinking water.
Nice old style pub with rooms above.
It was a very hot day and the room was pretty sweltering but that’s not the fault of the pub!
Staff very friendly.
All good
Locatie perfect
Douche was goed
Ontbijt prima
Bed was erg slecht.
Veren komen nog net niet door het dek en deken was te dik en te warm voor de tijd van het jaar
The beds were very comfy.
The room was in a house adjoining the pub and when you opened the front door from the street you were in the bedroom. there was no natural light in the room. If we opened the curtains in the bathroom, you were looking onto the beer garden and the bedroom curtains opened straight on to the pavement and road.
