It was a very enjoyable stay .
I didn't like the fact that there was no breakfast available.
Staff first class as always
Its location
The hotel as a whole was a bit rundown
Location, cost. It was very quiet. Easy to check out. Able to access the room early. Room was clean. Parking on site a big plus. Staff very helpful.when.query phone call made before arrival
Decor a little tired, airless ( the weather was exceptionally warm). However value for money and exceptional location outweighed any negatives. Very difficult for an independent hotel to survive
A very nice hotel. A big room, very nicely furnished, polite and friendly staff and a good restaurant and bar. We were very pleasantly surprised and will stay here again.
N/A
When I turned up at the hotel they had no record of the booking but managed to find an inferior room for which I should have received a £20 refund. However, over a month later I’ve still received nothing. The staff have been friendly enough since I raised this issue but whether the booking mix up was the hotel’s fault or booking.com’s is not my problem - I just want my refund.
Friendly gentleman on reception
Clean room
Good location
People hanging around outside
Ease of check in, location, room facilities
Being a larger guest, the bathroom for me in this particular room was tight, but I’m sure more than adequate for an average person.
The location was spot on for train station.
The lighting outside the hotel made it hard to find.
Location to train station & where needed to be, clean
TV in room didn't work & the other residents appeared to be of "permanent male residency" & loitering at side area of building. The smell of "abnormal " smoke in lift & corridors lingering about. In my opinion should not be advertised on booking .com
Next to the city centre and a 2 minute walk from the station ideally placed for pubs and restaurants or a ten minute train ride into Leeds. Lovely large room, comfy bed good quality TV, nice shower.
Size of the room was excellent , bed was huge , bathroom was a good size and shower was excellent . Had a fridge which was great , and a seatee , room comfortable ,clean and brilliant value for money
The front door was a bit rough , TV was too small for the room and was slow .
Cleanest room I've seen in a while, the (double) room looks better than the photos. The fridge is a convenient addition to my liking. There is no limescale in the kettle which is always a pleasant sign of a good hotel. The male receptionist was welcoming and made me feel like a honoured guest. The location is close to Wakefield Westgate station, also close to the city centre (i.e. no noise from people) in about 10 minutes walk.
Perhaps the stairs and floors are a bit squeaky like any other aged British houses. I can also hear people walking with luggage and the next door talking loud and coughing, but this again is kinda expected, you may need to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. It would otherwise be what I expect of a 10/10 hotel/inn, not fancy but nothing else to fault.
Right next to the theatre
No breakfast
Great location near the train station restaurants and bars
Very clean and fresh
