To me City Garden always delivers in an area where competition is hot.
Pros:

Love the staff, also the proximity. I like stand alone showers so stepping into a shower over a bath isn't ideal. Showers in Asia can be hit or miss, ie. too cold, too hot, low water pressure or difficult to adjust. City Garden was fine.

Cons:

While the breakfast was ok, a little cheaper would've been nice.

Great hotel in a great location
Pros:

Staff were excellent from check in to check out. Breakfast was very good with lots of variety. Shower was amazing 👍. Thanks to mira lynne david and jon on the reception...so helpful.
