What a gem. Had a fabulous overnight stay at Dunster Castle Hotel. Spotlessly clean everywhere and extremely welcoming. The attention to detail was outstanding. Wonderful breakfast menu all prepared with locally sourced produce. Congratulations to John and Lisa on your great hotel. We hope to be back for a longer stay soon.

The owners were very friendly and informative. The hotel was warm and comfortable, the room a nice size with an extra sofa and chaise to sit on.
We had the Sunday Roast (on Monday) and it was very good value and cooked beautifully with lots of nice veg and tasty gravy.
Breakfast was fab too.
Absolutely nothing not right from the hotel.
We were subject to a scam booking form from Booking.com demanding money immediately and for twice as much as our booking price. Thankfully our bank declined the payment but it is not good that Booking.com is allowing our personal information to be picked up by scammers.
The receptionist at Dunster Castle Hotel was very helpful when I rang to query the extra payment and advised us what to do but there is no way to report this to Booking.com direct, though I will keep trying.
Really friendly welcome from Lisa on arrival. Excellent breakfast perfectly cooked and presented and very helpful with our dietary requirements! A lovely lounge/bar area to relax in during the evening (with our own bottle of wine!)
Quality bedding, spotlessly clean and plenty of hot water and a fridge for the sole use of guests.
Great to have a car park at the rear and the owners were kind enough to let us leave our car after check out so we could visit Dunster Castle.
Would definitely stay again
Warm and cosy room (a little on the small size) but it was what we booked (due to price!) and perfectly nice for one night. For us the mattress was a little too soft - but I appreciate that’s a personal preference.
We were well looked after, the room was clean, comfortable, warm and well appointed. Breakfast was superb and well served. While dinner is only served on Sunday and Monday evenings when other restaurants in town are closed, it was a superb roast dinner, choice from 3 options and I would not hesitate to go back and stay again.

very well done. Service outstanding.
It was a great venue but a little expensive for our later booking due to cancellation from our previous accomodation in Dunster. This can be mostly attributed to our exchange rate with AU $ agains the UK £.
John and Lisa are great hosts!
We were offered a delicious bowl of homemade soup when we arrived, which was more than welcome after walking in the area all week.
