Breakfast was a thoroughly enjoyable affair, with a small piano recital by John. The menu choice is excellent and will cover most if not all taste buds and allergies.
We were upgraded from a small double to a more spacious twin room overlooking the main street. This was lovely with an en-suite with shower and, a window seat for the watching of the world outside.
The hosts are the hosts of the year for us, pleasant , happy and always ready to provide.

Uitstekend hotel in het prachtige stadje Dunster. Lisa is supervriendelijk, geen moeite is teveel om het haar gasten naar de zin te maken. Speciaal voor ons bereidde ze een continentaal ontbijt met vers fruit en yoghurt, warme croissants en een schotel met heerlijke ham, prosciuto en Brie. 'S Avonds voorzag zij een heerlijke kamille thee en op de kamer staat een likeurtje klaar. Er is ook bruiswater en verse melk in de koelkast. Beste ontbijt van onze twee weken in Engeland.

Parking at the property was a bonus. Beautifully clean and elegant decor throughout. Very comfy bed. Hospitable hosts, made for hospitality, so pleasant. Breakfast was a feast, well executed. Looking foward to returning.

Lisa and John were absolutely wonderful hosts . The location was perfect and the breakfasts were exceptional. I took my 9 year old grandson and we spent two days exploring Dunster . We visited the castle - travelled on the steam train and loved the beach .

Owner was super-cool, relaxed and extremely helpful. They allowed us to bring our own drinks for the bar area and garden - with the owner bringing out some music to the garden (just for us). Fantastic and very varied breakfast - great attention to detail. Fantastic location - central to everything in Dunster. Even let us stay parking until 3pm on the next day.

Had a fabulous stay - The room was beautiful and little touches like a Night cap of sherry in a decanter shows thought and attention are shown. Breakfast was perfect and really friendly owners made the stay a memorable one. Thank you

A great welcome by the hosts who were terrific - so helpful. The rooms were spacious and beautifully fitted. Breakfast was of the highest quality. I would highly recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation in booking again.

Great location in stunning fairytale village. Hotel is very old and quaint but rooms wonderfully well equipped with everything you’d need and more, even in a standard room. Lisa the owner cares so much about her guests’ well-being and comfort and she and John go out of their way to give you a wonderful stay. There is a large communal fridge with bottled water and flasks of fresh milk for the taking and they are more than happy for you to bring your own food in or order a takeaway as they don’t serve dinner every night. Breakfast is all freshly cooked with an amazing fruit salad (so many different berries!) and yoghurt to begin with.
