Location was amazing. All city and waterfront attractions were within walking distance. The staff were amazing - friendly and so helpful.
Breakfast was freshly cooked to order.
We loved the cold water dispenser on each floor.
Clean and well presented rooms.
Air-conditioning.
Air-conditioning turned off when we left the room as we needed the room card key in place for it to work.
Super aardig personeel. Waren bereid tot alles.
Niks.
- emplacement central parfait avec restos et cafés autour
- chambre petite mais confortable
- fontaine à eau à disposition
Très propre, et accueillant, personnel au petit soin
Merci pour ce séjour
I would like to skip those highlights, which had been pointed out by numerous guests, such as the prefect location.
I prefer to propose several advantages, which other reviewers neglected, or didn't emphasized enough, or provided misleading information:
1, the staffs are very polite, friendly, and professional. They help us to check in earlier, to reserve a quiet room, to call a taxi (our telephone cannot install DART app), and help us to mail the postcards.
2, a lot of reviewers mentioned that the bed is a bit hard. However, this hardness is actually beneficial to my wife's and my back from a medical perspective.
3, some other reviewers mentioned that the hotel is a bit noisy because of the nearby street. However, as I have mentioned above, the hotel reserved a room which faces the building instead of the streetscape according to my request, and during the whole period of our staying, the room is very silence. We cannot hear the noise from street, there were also very few guests in the surrounding rooms. Besides, the cleaning staff were very considerate and only started working after 10 a.m.
4, Some comments also suggested that the breakfast was not ideal. In fact this will not cause any trouble. Our order didn't include breakfast. The result is, instead of eating at a buffet, we can order whatever we want in a coffee shop at the same low price. And the hotel is surrounded by restaurants of various cuisines with cheap price, which provides a lot of options.
5, finally, some comments mentioned that they don't like Brunei, which is most probably because of the lack of nightlife. We would like to emphasize that this depends on the travel style and your ability to discover. During our five-day vacation, we never finish our tourism before eight o'clock in the evening.
6, the hotel provides drinking hot or cold water on each floor, which is an extra advantage.
As a business hotel, there's almost nothing to criticize. During the first night I feel the air condition in my room is a bit noisy, but this problem is greatly relieved in the following nights after I change the mode during sleepness. The hot water from the shower head isn't very stable, but it's a very minor issue.
Staff were very helpful and there's a great little cafe downstairs
The room had a really bad smell. I'm not sure if it was mold or dampness, but it was very unpleasant. I've staying in all kinds of cheap hotels and this kind of thing doesn't usually bother me, but in this case it was difficult to tolerate.
My stay at the Brunei Hotel was a bit of a mixed experience. The room itself was nice and the location was absolutely perfect. However, I had an issue with the airport pickup. I asked the hotel about the easiest way to get there and they offered to arrange a taxi for $25. In hindsight, I should have checked other options, as I later found cheaper alternatives. I confirmed my flight in advance, but after landing, I had to wait about 70–80 minutes and had trouble reaching the hotel, which was frustrating. To their credit, they did not charge me for the ride.
I also wanted to visit the floating village, and the hotel kept recommending tours that were fairly expensive. After asking locals, I realized I could do it independently for about $1 by boat. That said, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful overall, and the location really is a highlight.
I didn't love the price they quoted me for the taxi and the floating village but a great hotel!
Excellent location. Friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast.
Nothing at all
We stayed for 3 nights on a quick visit to Brunei. The room was very comfortable with great AC and everything was spotlessly clean. The restraunt downstairs served great food and was very handy. This hotel is within walking distance of everything downtown including Omas Ali Saifuddien dan Mosque, Royal Exhibition Gallery and the boats accross to Kampong Ayer all with a 5 minute walk as well as plenty of good coffee shops.

Good location, probably the closest one to the mosque
Everything was good, no issues. I did not like Brunei itself but that has nothing to do with hotel
L'hotel è nuovo e pieno di tutti i confort. È in posizione molto centrale e il personale molto gentile.
