The old building
Sloping floors in the bathroom, not good when you're half asleep going to the bathroom in the middle of the night 😞
Beautiful old building. Parking available. Friendly staff. Clean.
Lots of steps, our room had a big step down into it. Pillows and mattress felt ready for replacement.
Lovely old building, very helpful staff and excellent food at a v moderate price.Good selection of local beer and cider
Single bed comfort was just ok and Wi-Fi in bedroom poor
It is extremely historic and full of character. Great location and staff were very helpful.
It was expensive for the facilities it has. Dinner service ended early (8pm) so we had to go out for food.
Nice location with good transport links
Building has a lot of character
Especially like the wonky floors
I had roast beef dinner in a restaurant which was very disappointing.
Food appeared to be reheated. My advice eat elsewhere
Room was comfortable and close to the venue for a family wedding
We missed breakfast as there was a mix up re the timing
We had a wedding to get to and they let us check in early, no extra charge, so we could freshen up and get changed. Cheeky bottle of fizz in the bar before we went. Very friendly staff. Historic building, lots of history. Old fashioned, crooked floors, etc, all add to the charm. Breakfast was great, nothing fan, just good quality food.
Honestly can’t think of anything!
All
Beautiful ancient building, in a beautiful village, the staff was amazing, the complimentary breakfast was amazing, the beds were super comfortable. Quirky place, with all sorts of interesting features, one of the coolest places I have stayed in for a very very long time, and a fun night out too.
Very traditional
Floors were very uneven due to the age of the building
