Friendly staff, great location, rooms need attention

The location and welcoming staff.

Cons:

Injured by curtain rail falling - 2nd time during the stay, told the lady who checked us out and she did not make any note of injury. The bedroom and bathroom needs refurbishment, the blind in bathroom was broken and not so clean. The ac dripped and as its dark corridor by the door I didn’t see the water on the tiled floor so slipped on it. The breakfast was ok the staff were lovely but as a coffee drinker was disappointed that only instant coffee was available. There are many beggars that pounced on us as soon as we arrived waiting for us to get out of the taxi. At night was approached many times by beggars and ended up going to a store to buy them rice and ghee.

Pros:

All staff were attentive and helpful , and breakfast is served on the premises. The room was big, bed comfortable and there was always hot water. Most sites that tourists want to see are within a 20 minute walk.

Cons:

There is nothing that I didn't like, although investing in a coffee machine( like in some of the places I've stayed in ) would be a good idea as would having more fruit variety at breakfast.
