Unique stay in Phuket
Pros:

Amazing stay starting from smooth checkin and warm welcoming process. Each day starting from breakfest we were always well hosted and all extra wishes where always done. Rooms were very clean and good equiped. Top quality room service. Each day you had impression that employees making maximal effort to make this place for tourists. Big greetings to Orly and Abby

Six Days of Doing Nothing Particularly Well — And Loving Every Moment
Pros:

Tucked into the coveted Laguna and Bang Tao neighbourhood — one of Phuket's most refined and low-density stretches of coastline — the Mövenpick Resort Bang Tao is a property that earns its place in this upmarket neighbourhood with quiet confidence. We stayed in the two-bedroom sea-facing private pool villa for six nights, and it came remarkably close to perfect.

The villa itself is generous in every sense. A sweeping 45 m pool dominates the outdoor space, offering genuine seclusion and the kind of unhurried swim that makes you forget what day it is. Privacy here is not a selling point — it is simply a given, and that is rarer than it should be at this price point. Step beyond the property and you are on Bang Tao Beach at its finest: wide, white-sanded, and blissfully uncrowded, with charming beach shacks that server drinks and simple food to upmarket beach clubs that serve amazing cocktails and gourmet food without any of the tourist-trap pretension found elsewhere on the island.

The architecture of the resort is one of its quiet pleasures and my favourite feature of the property. Steep-pitched rooflines, warm teak detailing, and pavilion-style structures rooted in classical Thai design give the property a sense of place and cultural grounding that many international resort brands fail entirely to achieve.

The staff are genuinely warm and consistently polite — smiles are real, not rehearsed. Breakfast is not a sprawling international buffet, nor does it pretend to be, but what is on offer is thoughtfully curated with high-quality ingredients and executed with care. For six mornings, it never disappointed.

The interiors of the villa do show their age — finishes could do with some refreshing — but rather than feeling neglected, they carry an old-world charm that softens the edges of a stay and makes the space feel lived-in and human rather than showroom-sterile.

If there is one note for the management, it is this: the service, while always pleasant and responsive, tends to be reactive rather than anticipatory. A great resort at this level should be reading its guests and acting a step ahead — that initiative, when present, is what elevates good hospitality into something truly memorable.

Our 6 days here felt like exactly the right amount of time to do nothing particularly well. That is the highest compliment a villa resort can receive.

A relaxed and refreshing stay
Pros:

The Resort has very spacious rooms and loved the 2 bedroom villa concept with a fully functional kitchen and a private pool facing the ocean. Also a proper 45 m pool is great for swimming.

Cons:

The interior finishes are a little old and could use a little sprucing up at places. Service could a little bit efficient and smoother. Some more initiative from the staff would make this property a 100%.

Kahvaltı Müthişti. Uzakdoğu seyahatlerinde peynir çeşitleri bulmak zordur. Menu çok dolu idi.
Otel inanılmaz güzeldi. Plajın hemen yanında. Çok güzel bir havuzu var. Personel inanılmaz kibar ve yardım sever.
Ne sorsak, ne istesek, olması için ellerinden geleni yaptılar. Otel yanında kocaman bir sahil var. Sessiz ve sakin. Otelin bir kısmı Laguna bakıyor.

Cons:

Her şey çok güzeldi. Gürültü, kalabalık arıyorsanız burası orası değil. Kötü birşey aklıma gelmiyor.

Great Trip
Pros:

Very nice peaceful and spacious well looked after hotel.
Breakfast excellent .Stayed in Villa with pool by the beach. Excellent staff. Would stay again . Away from the centre of Bang Tao, good to have a car .
Boat avenue shops & restaurants nearby.

A very fine 5 Star residence staffed to a high standard of customer care.
Pros:

High standard throughout and we loved the staff especially a lady called Mild who works on the front reception desk.

Cons:

Only that the location was quite isolated.

Comfortable Stay, great customer Service, will book again
Pros:

Staff were so wonderful from reception team Mr. Gavin and JC to Service team in breakfast, concierge and security are all very friendly and happy to offer help to make the stay nicer.
The breakfast is so delecious, I would book again for this breakfast, all tropical fruits, fresh waffles and crepe, English Breakfast, Nutella, Real Honey, Yougurt, fresh Coffee and pastry just so delicious.

We booked a basic room but the hotel upgraded our room to Villa as we were on honeymoon and Gavin treated us to an upgrade that we will not forget, and will def love to book with Movenpick again.

The Villa is spacious and amazing design where the bed room is surrounded by the pool.

Disappointing stay,
Pros:

Location and layout of the royal jacuzzi 3 bedroom suite as well as the 2 bedroom pool suite. Staff of the hotel was excellent with their services, but hampered by poor and crumbling facilities.
Special mention to the housekeeping and serving staff... They were really excellent,

Cons:

We were a big family group. On the first day when we switched on the jacuzzi, it started spewing filthy brown water. The technician managed to fix this overnight, but, then the water in the Jacuzzi would not heat. They took 2 days to solve this. On the third day it started working properly, but, we could not switch it off.
In the 2 bedroom apartment with the pool,
the air conditioning worked intermittently and the outlets were leaking water on the floor. The air conditioners were not cooling and switched off intermittently on their own.
This property is much more expensive then surrounding 5 star properties, but not worth the price.
I must mention that the manager gave me a small credit on account of the malfunctioning jacuzzi for the first 2 days.
