A wonderful house and garden. The dining room and my bedroom in particular.
Nothing to say.
The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We were in Winston, which is a top floor room but the stairs were easy to climb and there was barely any noise. The shower was great and the bathroom had a lovely view of the side garden.
The staff are all amazing. Lyn was so friendly and supportive, helping us find our room and was really disability aware, give us audio descriptions and ensuring we knew where the steps were.
Pam was so friendly and helpful and made sure we had what we needed and that we were happy and comfortable.
Adam and Pam made us an amazing breakfasts and the breakfast room was beautiful with big windows looking out into the gardens. There was cereals, fruit salad, yoghurt, water, orange juice, milk and jams available. We had a full English which was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. They also brought us coffee, tea and toast freshly made.
The gardens have had some work and effect put into and it shows. It was a beautiful place to rest and sit. I spent so much time laying under a tree enjoying the view. I think I have Jon's mum to thank for that.
When we went it was during a heatwave and the staff were lovely, making sure we were hydrated and giving us ice for our own drinks.
In the evening we popped into the bar for a drink before bed and chatted with Jon who has done a wonderful job on the bar and the refurbishment. The bar is looking amazing and has a variety of beers and spirits including local beers and potentially gins. We were lucky enough to meet the bestest boy, Ernie, a beautiful Sprocker.
Jon and all the staff went above and beyond and made us feel welcome and at home. I have never had such amazing customer service and met people so compassionate to others and passionate about where they work.
There is parking available and the staff were kind enough to let us leave our bags so we could explore Hereford for the day.
They are currently undergoing a revamp and although our room was outdated it did have some beautiful featured furniture. I can't wait to see the finished product.
Very friendly welcome. Good choices for breakfast, which was deliciously cooked fresh. Size of the room.
Nothing
Breakfast was exceptional and the host was very friendly and accommodating. We definitely be back, fantastic stay.
Some tiny tweaks needed to room décor.
Lovely room and breakfast
Hotel under new management, renovations being done so no bar or breakfast room. Didn't spoil my stay as it was just one night but others might like to be made aware!
Room was a fairly comfortable temperature despite the intense heatwave. Shower was fine. Bed comfortable. Room spacious. Breakfast was fine, decent selection of food. Really close to the train station so very good when travelling. Easy walk into town for dinner. Tea and coffee making facilities in room.
Seems to have loads of parking (I came on the train so didn't need it, but noticed this as a good feature).
I understand it's recently changed owners so is currently a little bit of a work in progress but seems to be heading in a good direction.
It's a B&B rather than a hotel so useful to expect that. The only toiletries provided in the room was a bottle of handwash and I'd not brought shampoo - oops. Wifi signal was a bit variable. Main gripe is that I was never given a receipt for my payment, despite being promised one by e-mail and following up with an e-mail to the B&B to them to ask for one - a bit of a problem if you're travelling for work and need the receipt!
Peace and Quiet
The breakfast. Coffee was barely warm. Same with cooked breakfast.
I was upgraded for no extra cost - that was so lovely. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Parking is excellent at this property and that’s really important to me.
There's nothing not to like. Its a fabulous place with fabulous staff.
Very helpful staff. Very comfortable bed and a large room. Good breakfast
Shower small but we knew the new owner had plans to refurbish the bedrooms and bathrooms
Lovely property, and nice to see it’s being renovated.
Great location for staying in Hereford
3 pm book in , is probably about an hour later than is ideal .
But this seems to be the way Hotels are going .
It is such a lovely place to stay and only a 10 minute walk to the city centre The breakfast, was served in an a beautiful dinning room, and was excellent and the MAN in charge of cooking it, certainly knows how to make the best poached eggs ever, as good as I make them. The room as comfortable, with everything I needed; it was quiet in the rooms, even though the hotel was set back form the main road. Parking was excellent. This was my second visit here and I thoroughly recommend you staying there.
There was nothing to dislike
Close to the area we needed to visit . free parking ease of access , easy to find. good breakfast,
help full staff.
Problem with hot water system to the room . Not a problem as there was an adequate shower. minor problem when washing hands .Towels needed to be a little softer.
