Five star money for a rooms that smells like a forgotten toilet.
Pros:

The location. Just the geography. And I’d encourage you to enjoy it from literally any other hotel in Hitec City. Radisson’s building has nothing to like about.

Cons:

Let’s start with the smell, because it starts with you the moment the door opens. A rich, damp, mouldy bouquet that sits in the room all night and follows you into your luggage. No amount of air freshener was winning that fight.

The bathroom explains everything. Black and brown growth crusted around the drains and corner joints, a shower head so furred with scale that the water arrives pre-filtered through someone else’s history, brown staining in the toilet bowl, fittings gently corroding into the marble. Black growth is making its way along the ceiling panels and the wardrobe seams, which is ambitious of it. This is not a missed clean. This is a long-term relationship between the property and neglect, and it has clearly been going on for months.

We lasted one night of five. Walking out of a booking at six in the morning is an expensive way to say no thank you, and we said it anyway.

The hotel’s own written summary of all this: the guest did not have a comfortable stay. Beautifully understated. So was the Titanic’s iceberg incident.

For the price, this is five star money for a room you would send back at a highway motel. There are better hotels within walking distance, several of them literally across the road. Walk the extra ninety seconds. Your sinuses will thank you.
