Pros:

Location was good for our requirements (concert at Ethiad Stadium) staff friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast.

Cons:

These are just small niggles, the sofa in our room had a big dip in it needs replacing IMO. No biscuits with the tea and coffee! I mean +£200 for one night I dont class as cheap although I appreciate its in a city but most hotels have biscuits. Also personal reference didn't like tea bags and there was literally only one each which I thought was a bit tight.

Reasonable room let down by breakfast and staff's lack of allergen knowledge

Lifts were quick
We had a nice comfortable sleep
The shower was powerful

Bright lights not comfortable for evening drink
Extremely limited choice of breakfast for someone with allergies. Staff not very helpful or knowledgeable. Too many things I couldn't eat and what I did have was lukewarm. The bacon was decent but it was almost cold. I commented on this to a member of staff and the reply was "oh sorry"
When I asked about gluten free sausages I was offered vegan sausages. I questioned whether they contained wheat and they did. When I asked for a fried egg instead of scrambled due to the milk in the scrambled egg I was told this wasn't brand standard. I've never stayed at a hotel where I couldn't get a fried egg! They did, however, do me a piece of gf toast.
Given that the breakfast is "brand standard" it would be helpful if the containers were labelled with allergens given that they're in the same place every day. This would be better than having to go backwards and forwards to a tick sheet several pages long. It's hard enough for someone with allergies and a simple label would go a long way. Some things were labelled gf but for other allergens you had to check the sheet.

Good value and in excellent location.
Pros:

Breakfast ok, self-service, which was fine. Location very good for the railway station and main shopping and dining places. Hotel staff welcoming and informative.

Cons:

The only minor issue was a fire alarm, which required immediate exit from the Hotel. But of course necessary.

I do like to come to the Holiday Inn its now my fourth stay
Pros:

I would appreciate a choice I don’t eat bacon or sausage, i.e. mushrooms to go with eggs would be appreciated as baked beans each day a bit too much:)

Cons:

Would only to be able to stay a few days, only a few hangers no proper drawers and no where to hang up a wet coat or hang pjs or clothes up in the bathroom

Great base for a friends reunion in Manchester
Pros:

Very welcoming staff. Comfortable room & bed. Good breakfast included. Good location for city centre. Early check in and late check out for ihg member.

Cons:

View of a skip wasn't great! Shower not very powerful, but perfectly adequate.

Not very clean, breakfast area can be improved & maybe security outside hotel

Breakfast area had no space, homeless man sitting outside the hotel approached myself Grandaughter & niece whilst leaving on the Friday morning at 11am became very abusive & followed up shouting abuse, a security guard from another building spoke to him
