This place is an absolute scam. Make sure to stay away from it rooms and nothing like the photos. Horrible smell that makes you want to vomit as you walking to the rooms and inside the rooms. Rooms are dirty not clean not a safe environment for families as a hostile for homeless and drug activities going on outside the hotel doors
Stayed here for 3 nights. Fab location right next to a tram stop. V comfortable bed. Good shower with good water pressure and nice large towels. Small balcony too. Bright and clean. Granted it could be updated but overall would recommend.
My stay at this hotel was quite good. The room was clean and fairly comfortable, although a bit small. The staff provided standard service with no major issues. The location is convenient and easy to access. Some facilities could be improved to enhance the overall experience. Overall, it was decent for the price.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location was perfect, close to many attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again.

Pictures different to what it looks, rooms tiny and smell and dirty, definitely not like the pictures, also the pool area is disgusting with equipment all over the sides, looks abandoned and you have to walk through stinky bin area to get to it, avoid, tries to convince people to give good review for a free coffee
Was cat fished! This hotel has two locations on the same street. The one that was photographed and advertised is clean, new and nice. But upon arriving, they asked us to go down to the second location down street, which smells like pee and mould. We even had to forfeit the money and check out early as we are getting unwell from it.
Location good for walking to local restaurants and Vic market etc.
atmosphere ok, however we stayed on a Wednesday night and were woke up early by people wheeling heaps of wheelie bins along the side of the building all morning.
Room was older but was clean. Value for money ok if you don’t mind the noise etc.
also were woken up by another person in building yelling out and crying about something that happened in her room (not that that is the fault of the place).
Found it hard to get a hold of front desk. Had to call several times before it went through. Also when we arrived I asked for someone to come and help with getting tv to work (no basic channels). They said they’d send someone up and over an hour later when we went down to reception I told them no one came up. They apologised and said they’d send someone up while we pooped out and problem still not resolved. If you want a budget stay it would be ok for a clean enough stay. But overall would not return here myself.
They have a little cafe downstairs that we didn’t try but looked good.

To be honest it was nice at first until there was fricking coakroahces in the bathroom then the kitchen. Not only that but in the hallway it was smelling horrible and there was people disturbing our room .
Room was not prepared upon checking in at 4pm. Was horrified with the mess.
But they did get me another room which was good.
Only one elevator was working, so used the fire exit stairs all weekend.
A group of 9 stayed in 2 apartments on 8th floor 488 Swanston St.
We didn’t realise when booking through Booking.com that it was a seperate building to the reception.
Reception staff were friendly enough but didn’t follow through with action when needed.
The mattress on my bed was so uncomfortable that I had a look to see why. Although the sheets looked clean I discovered the mattress was upside down and covered in stains. The mattress protector had a huge stain and was falling to bits - clearly beyond laundering and quite disgusting.
I reported to reception and requested new bedding. This was finally done. I asked to speak to the Manager & was given an email address - no response so went through contact on website - still no response.
One of the lifts was out of action and the other was unreliable and eventually failed altogether. We had to walk up 8 flights of stairs via the fire stairwell. The next day we had to leave early and book into another hotel because of this. Other reviews mentioned lift problems so obviously not an isolated occurance.
Although we got a 30% discount after reporting to Booking.com for the nights we stayed as well a refund for the nights we couldn’t stay it was very disruptive to our holiday , wasted a lot of time and was quite stressful. We ended up having to book at seperate hotels at short notice. No one we spoke to was happy!
Would not recommend the apartments to others.
