Pros:

Magnificent Heritage Building, Grand Interior Lounges and Staircase from Yesteryear

Cons:

I booked an Executive Queen Room for almost $200 per night (room only) on a Sunday and Monday nights . I was disappointed to be allocated a back room without any view apart from over rusty rooves and other broken infrastructure. The bedside lamps were crooked and so dim you could not read in bed. The hotel was definitely not too full so I consider my experience was poor value for money. Had Sunday Lunch at the very atmospheric restaurant , obviously very popular with locals. However my Spaghetti Marinara, one of the
"Specials" was very dry and there was not much seafood in the dish.

The location was great and because of the issues we encountered I was happy it was only 1 night.
Pros:

Spacious rooms. Staff very helpful. Location was very good, it was close to our event and next to the park so we were able to have a pleasant walk.

Cons:

The electronic door to our room didn’t work, so we needed to change rooms. Heating was not available in the new room we were given. The breakfast the next working was not up to a reasonable standard.

Loved our stay. If you value history this is a remarkable place to stay. Thoroughly enjoyed and would deinitely recommen
Pros:

Like stepping back in time. Great location. Staff were very helpful.
We loved the opportunity to be able to stay at such a magnificent hotel. Close to park and great cafes.
Bed was comfy. Room was clean.
Enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the sun go down.

Cons:

It is a little tired but that did not affect our enjoyment.

It’s an annual trip to the shamrock! Always a fun trip

The check in staff wasn’t very helpful with the information regarding the car park closure. Couldn’t recommend anything apart from metered street parking.
