On the face of it the hotel looks great, but the whole experience starting from the hotel trying to charge the wrong rate compared to the confirmation rate and the terrible restraunt. Service in the restraunt is a 1 out of 10. Extremely slow service, average and very expensive meals. No one takes any responsibility. Normally we do not complain, but this is a real exception because it was so bad. We have travelled extensively and this is the worst service in a restraunt ever.
Great experience, food worthy of the rosettes it has been awarded; lovely staff and room and bed suitable for a 6 ft 5 ins tall man plus partner!
We do plan to return but have not yet decided on the date.
If you are looking for quintessential English countryside with first rate amenities, look no further. Beautiful air conditioned rooms with a staff that cater to your every need. The breakfast in the restaurant at the Red Lion is so delicious with many options including an array of cooked options with the friendliest staff. Do have dinner there, the chef is exceptional! Highly recommend this hotel.
Lovely hotel with a boutique feel - lovely modern facilities interspersed with antiques.
The in- room fridge contains complementary still and sparkling water and fresh milk for your coffee maker. There’s an excellent bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower.
Staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very good too.
My granddaughter and her husband held there weeding her in July..everything was perfect everything was was done to perfection the ceremony, food and the grounds made it all look like should be in a magazine
Everyone was very nice and helpful, the room was nice and clean and as expected. We had the room in the picture above.
Could not have chosen a better hotel for romantic night away. Everything was perfect.
Proper hotel with trained staff
Dinner menu limited and very costly
Beautiful view, great amenities, plenty of space for a family stay. Restaurant was delicious.
Nothing we didn’t like.
It was great.
Everything was fine.
Everything, room, food and service!
Hotel was picturesque in a lovely setting. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room was exactly as we expected and perfect for my Mum and I to chill. Beds were comfortable and the air con was a bonus in the heatwave. There were loads of communal spaces to sit and it felt spacious. The restaurant was excellent with very attentive and helpful staff and the food was delicious. Overall an excellent stay and would definitely return.
Love this place stayed several times now lovely location , foods lush, rooms are lush and vibe is lush. You won’t be disappointed.
The food and room were both excellent. Clean, modern and comfortable.
Some of the male staff looked a little unkempt for this standard of hotel.
Beautiful room, beautiful location, staff couldn't have been more nice if they tried. The staff were very helpful. Everything was extremely clean and immaculately presented. The breakfast was also superb with many options available. The rooms also have air conditioning which is very needed in the hot weather.
Can't really fault alot! The complimentary tea/coffee options in the rooms were a little sparse but otherwise, I can't find fault with anything.
Wedding, and reception, plus overnight stay, superb place!!! Staff were impeccably smart and polite. management should be immensely proud of what they offer guests.
Lovely hotel. Room 204 was fabulous.
Staff helpful and friendly.
Breakfast good with plenty of choice. They were good with the grandchildren.
We stayed in the Hardwick suite for my husband's birthday. The room overlooked the lake and the view was amazing. We loved waking up to see cattle, geese and fish in the lake from our Juliet balcony. The bed was very comfortable, excellent air con and a superb bathroom. The restaurant attached to the hotel was fantastic. A lovely breakfast (though far too big - you might want to share!) and a lovely setting for a relaxing stay. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and we will definitely go back again one day.
