Our two-night stay at A for Athens was absolutely wonderful, and what truly sets this hotel apart is the incredible customer service.
From the moment we checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay effortless. I had broken a nail at a previous destination, and within minutes of mentioning it, the front desk had called and scheduled me an appointment at an amazing nail salon. It was such a thoughtful gesture that immediately made me feel taken care of.
We were also celebrating my friend's birthday, and the team surprised her with wine and balloons waiting in our room. It was such a thoughtful surprise that made her birthday even more special. Since the hotel's rooftop was under construction, they arranged reservations for us at another rooftop restaurant and secured us the best seats with incredible views. They made sure we didn't miss out on experiencing one of Athens' beautiful rooftops.
Throughout our stay, we always felt safe, the hotel was spotless, and our room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. Every detail seemed carefully considered. Since we had an early departure before breakfast service began, they prepared breakfast boxes for us to take with us and even arranged our transportation. Everything was completely seamless from check-in to check-out.
It's rare to find a hotel where every interaction leaves such a positive impression, but that's exactly what we experienced at A for Athens. Their genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. If we ever return to Athens, there is no question—we will absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel, located right in the heart of Athens just a short walk from Monastiraki Square. The location was perfect for exploring the city, with many attractions, restaurants, and transport links nearby.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which was especially appreciated as first-time visitors to Athens. They made us feel at home and were happy to provide help and recommendations.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with excellent air-conditioning, a real bonus during the warmer weather! Unfortunately, the rooftop bar and restaurant were undergoing renovations during our stay, so we weren’t able to experience them. However, breakfast was available at the 360 Degrees Hotel across the road, which was an easy and convenient alternative.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return if we come back to Athens.
The view from our room was picture perfect! Amazing view of the Acropolis and fun to watch the people in Monastiraki Square. When we were there the rooftop bar was closed for repairs so that was sad but they have arrangements with 360 rooftop bar for breakfast. Very centrally located and easy to walk to about any place you would want.

Clean, chic rooms located directly across from Monastiraki Square. The front entrance is in the alley, not on the busy main street. Our room had a wonderful view of the Acropolis. They have a tiny lift that can accommodate 2 people at a time.
Unfortunately, the rooftop restaurant was being renovated while we were there but the front desk did arrange for us to have a lovely meal with a spectacular view across the street at a sister-hotel called the 360.
The hotel doesn't look much from outside but the rooms are ideal for a short break, clean and well equipped with toiletries, cold water and nice chocolate bars. What we really did like was its location you can walk to everywhere central within 20 minutes, loads of nice restaurants within a few minutes of the front door. The Acropolis is 15 minutes walk away and there is an underground station 2 mins away (we didn't use it) we walked or used the open top city tur busses. Sadly the roof top bar was closed for renovation I am sure when this is open it will be great place to end the night sipping cocktails watching the world go by. If you want a taxi to the airport use the welcome app, worked very well and cheaper than other options.

Great location near the city centre and metro station. Excellent and warm welcoming staff. The rooftop bar was under construction so we didn’t use it and the breakfast was served in their sister hotel which is very close and also with great view to the Acropolis. The breakfast was very good and delicious. Surely will visit again.
Everything was great.
The location is amazing. The plaza across the road is THE PLACE for gatherings, music, shops and restaurants. The weekend evenings are lively. Train station, literally across the road at The Plaza as well.
The Parthenon is visible from our room on the first floor. Lit up at night it’s a site to behold.
The room very comfortable as was the bed.
