Surprisingly spacious and a stones throw away to a vibrant city. Would reccomend highly. Best hotel i have stayed in, in Japan..

An excellent choice for exploring Kyoto!
Pros:

This is a stylish hotel in an excellent location, with public transport available less than five minutes away to many of Kyoto’s attractions. The staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh fruit. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore the city.

Cons:

We would have liked to see wholemeal cereal and bread options at breakfast.

Excellent stay, great location, value for money and would definitely stay here again
Pros:

Hotel in an excellent location. Check in was quick, staff were excellent and very helpful. Rooms were a good size. Would stay here again

Cons:

Room could have had better lighting and more charging ports as there were only a couple of power points that you needed an adapter, which the front desk was able to supply to me

Room extremely comfortable. Bar very nice. All staff friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Sparse coffee and tea provision, nothing in bar fridge, tired nespresso machine...bit disappointing for an expensive suite.

The Royal Park Hotel is a well-run, solid hotel in great location with a bountiful breakfast buffet.
Pros:

Excellent location near good shopping and rail/bus lines, walking along Kamo River, and great food! Friendly staff, great rates, and the breakfast buffet is huge and has so much good stuff!

Cons:

Would be nice to open windows at least a little bit which would allow for fresh air and not require a humidifier.

Excellent Kyoto accommodation
Pros:

Fantastic hotel location - right in the heart of shopping and restaurant areas. Close to Gion and main sites. Great service throughout. Would stay here again. Handy laundry facilities on Level 2 and 3.
