Shows were good by Mr Bhattacharya.
Breakfast buffet was amazing.
Lot of things
1. Quality of food for which the money is getting charged
2. Unavailability of room service and telephone
3. We had to call multiple times to get the towels and intercom getting fixed
4. Chairs had nails out in dawat restaurant.
Excellent hotel. Very comfortable, clean, conveniently located. Tasty food both for breakfast and dinner. Walking distance to Taj Mahal complex (20-30 min walk) No complaints. I really enjoyed my stay here.
Breakfast was awesome
First time ever, we are compelled to write a review out of sheer disappointment after a stay that significantly marred our trip.
We had chosen Taj Hotel Agra to host our relatives visiting from overseas, expecting the renowned Taj hospitality and a memorable experience. Unfortunately, the property fell well short of the standards associated with the Taj brand.
The lunch buffet was particularly disappointing. Many dishes lacked flavour and even basic seasoning, while the quality of food across the restaurants was inconsistent and certainly not what one would expect from a luxury hotel. Even the food prepared at the live counters was uninspiring and below expectations.
The dining experience was further let down by poor service. Our table was not set with basic cutlery or napkins, and we had to repeatedly request items one after another--spoons, forks, quarter plates, napkins, salt and pepper, and other essentials. Such basic oversights made the experience feel more like dining at a roadside eatery than at a premium five-star hotel.
The staff were courteous, polite, and genuinely pleasant. However, they appeared inadequately trained or lacked proper direction. The service lacked the confidence, attention to detail, and finesse that guests paying a premium price rightfully expect from the Taj.
When one chooses Taj, one is paying for an exceptional hospitality experience, not merely a room. Regrettably, both the dining and overall service experience fell far below the standards that have made the Taj brand so respected.
We sincerely hope the management invests in strengthening staff training, improving operational supervision, and significantly enhancing the quality and consistency of the food. The property has immense potential, but our recent experience was unfortunately far from the hallmark hospitality that Taj is known for.

Good location for the Taj Mahal, good sized rooms, well appointed.
Pool area quite run down
Location
Very commercial look and feel
Superb
This was the best hotel of our stay in India.
10/10 across the board. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, and the hotel is a welcome respite from the somewhat overwhelming city of Agra.
Breakfast buffet - almost in tears at how good it was. Really, really exceptional.
Ditto Daawat e Nawab restaurant.
Comfortable rooms - a great stay!
