I made a reservation on booking.com and selected “ Pay at the property” . That means I will pay at the property upon arrival. Once I arrived there, they had canceled my reservation before I got there. They said they tried to charge my card and they couldn’t so they simply canceled . What’s the point of give the costumer the option to pay at the property and then try to charge before as they please ? The front desk was extremely rude , raised his voice and wouldn’t let me talk. He literally wouldn’t let me finish a sentence. So I said “ Will you let me talk ? “ , he said “ NO “ and kept repeating the same thing over and over again and wouldn’t let me complete a sentence. Then he told me to leave and said my family is a piece of shit . Yes the FRONT DESK said that to a costumer . Zero professionalism . Zero costumer service. I felt arguing with a 5th grader. Also there is no BREAKFAST as they advertise on booking.com . That’s fake.
The point of “ Pay at the property” is PAY AT THE PROPERTY. If I wanted to pay online before arrival I would have done that myself. If they don’t trust the costumer , so simply start to charge non show up fee or remove the option to pay the property, but do NOT give an option that is actually fake.
