the room was dirty there was spiders and cobwebs
the standard of the room
and the cleanliness
The location was amazing. It felt like you were stepping back in time. Such a beautiful area. Has a mysterious air about it. The staff were amazing! They were so friendly and helpful and Chloe was really good! The bed was so comfy and the food was fantastic.the food also was amazing. I loved the homemade chips! And breakfast was great.
The only thing I would say is my room looked a tad bit tired in terms of the walls , but actually it kind of fitted the vibe so wasn't a totally bad thing.
Rustic
The view from my room was beautiful. The staff were lovely
There was no mini fridge in the room
Location
Food long wait ran out of choices
Big room and decent bed. The shower was hot and reasonably powerful (big plus). The staff were all super friendly.
Nothing really; maybe a bit dated and could do with a bit of modernising.
I’m well aware of the property I used to live to the rear it’s a stunning facade.
Opened the windows to let some air in and there was rubble on the ledge, tiny desk fan to cool wasn’t adequate
Excellent friendly staff. Room was immaculate and food was great.
The furniture & decor in the room was a little dated, however the room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff member on our arrival was very friendly and efficient. The free water in our room was a welcome touch. We only used the hotel as a base for an event in Nottingham and never used any of the facilities. Although the bar area looked rather splendid and perhaps a great place to sit, relax and have a drink and something to eat. The gardens looked like a lovely area to explore.
Nothing.
Staff very friendly and helpful
TV not good in King Edward. Couldn't get normal channels..
Overall, I had a pleasant stay, and the hotel is beautiful with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly, and I enjoyed my time there. However, I do feel that the hotel could benefit from a more thorough clean, especially the windows, which looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while.
Considering the price I paid, I also expected the room to be stocked with two face towels instead of just one. In addition, the shower had very low water pressure, which made it less enjoyable to use.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but with a few improvements to cleanliness and the room amenities, it would better reflect the price charged.

All the staff were fantastic!!!!
Food was the best I’ve had in 7 weeks of travelling.
Nothing.
The location
The critters in the bathroom
Beautiful building in a great setting.
The atrium/bar area is stunning and the food was lovely in there.
Our room was quite basic (20A) and felt like we were in the loft.
The breakfast was disappointing- not a massive selection and felt like no effort had been made to make the dining room more appealing.
I don’t mind a buffet, but make sure there’s plenty there not like tiny bowls of cereal you feel guilty for using up and I’d suggest they serve the hot drinks.
Nice location
The rooms were dated and needed a refurbishment. It was very hot and sleeping was difficult even with fan on full.
