On the first night we booked a table in the restaurant for 7pm, we waited 30 minutes for our order to be taken, at 8.30 pm we eventually received our meal after complaining twice, the starter never turned up as they forgot, so I just told them to knock it off the bill as we had, had enough by this time, the excuse we got given was that they had a cycling group who were turning up a different times, that was no excuse as we had a booking for 7pm, if they had booked and turned up at different times then maybe they shouldn’t have taken priority, the food was ok, but not as expected.

Bed uncomfortable, pillows hard, water too hot - boiling!! Being bitten during the night by some sort is small insect’s, bathroom smelt damp
I had dinner and also breakfast and both were excellent.

Very well appointed place to stay in every way. Large room, bed and bathroom. Staff were excellent and very helpful.
