Best place to stay prior to taking the ferry
Pros:

We picked this prior to taking the ferry to Yakushima, and it is a prime location for this pre-ferry-night. It is a 10min walk to the ferry from this hotel, and at the same time close enough to a lot of great restaurants in Kagoshima and places to go to on the day before. The breakfast in the hotel is very extensive, as it is a set breakfast that you pick (also western set options, but we opted for Japanese breakfast). Tip for when you take the ferry, is to check if you need the left or right terminal (Yakushima slow ferry is to the right when facing the water).

Cons:

It has a bit “stuffy carpet” smell, especially in the hallway and a little bit in the room. Also the breakfast area is a bit small, so make sure to pick your timeslot the day before if you want to have breakfast in time before you need to leave.

· Das Hotel befindet sich in der Nähe der Straßenbahnhaltestelle sowie des Zentrums und ist ruhig gelegen.
· Das Zimmer ist sauber und das Bett ist bequem.

Ideal, da nur 200m von Shopping Centrum und Straßenbahn entfernt. Und genauso nah zum Meer
Pros:

Ich hatte ein kleines EZ gebucht. Es hatte Ei. Funktionelles Bad und einen praktischen Schreibtisch. Da ich nur 2 Näche blieb und mit kleinem Gepäck reiste, kam ich mit der offenen Kleiderablage zurecht. Es wurden vier verschiedene Frühstücke angeboten, bei freier Café-Wahl. Ich empfehle Italien-Blend. Die Lage zwischen dem Vergnügunfszentrum und dem Hafen ist Ideal. Alles ist fussläufig in wenigen Minute. Erreichbar, aber dennoch ruhig gelegen. Um die Ecke ist ein 24/7 Store.

Cons:

Was mir nicht gefiel. Ein Aufzug kann bei 11 Stockwerken zu Wartezeiten führen. Ich war um 14:00 im Hotel. Für einen sofortigen Zutritt zum Zimmer wollte man eine Extragebühr. 30 min später, war es ohne Gebühr möglich. Das enttäuscht im Dienstleistungsoroentierten Japan, bin ich das von Europa noch gewöhnt. Dass ich mich für eine Frühstückszeit entscheiden muss ebenso. In Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz geht man Fühstücken, wenn einem danach ist.

Gutes Hotel nah am Hafen.
Pros:

Das Hotel ist sehr nah am Hafen im Zentrum von Kagoshima. Es ist ideal für Reisende die auf verschiedene Inseln fahren wollen. Das Zentrum ist auch fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und man konnte wählen zwischen einem japanischen und europäischen Varianten.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war relativ klein und ohne Schrank oder sonstigen Abstellmöglichkeiten. Das Hotel verfügt auch nicht über einen Parkplatz für Autos.

The location was excellent, with many restaurants and dining options within walking distance. It was also very convenient for visiting Sakurajima, as the ferry terminal was nearby. We especially enjoyed the ochazuke breakfast, which was delicious and a great way to start the day.

Cons:

The room was a bit smaller than other hotels we have stayed in. While it was clean and functional, guests who prefer more space may find it somewhat compact.
