Pros:

It was better than expected specially because of the pool and nice green area.
Pros:

The pool was definitely the part we enjoyed most, warm water and the family had a great time together. Also the meals were delicious and rooms bigger than expected.

Cons:

The mattress was too soft for me, at breakfast there was a frequent banging sound coming from the kitchen as waiters walked past the swinging doors which was annoying, much louder than the music playing.

Lovely location and grounds, let down by the rooms and breakfast
Pros:

The hotel was in a great location and fantastic gardens with a pool. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly.

Cons:

Unfortunately the rooms are very dated. The shower is not powerful at all and the bathroom extremely basic. The rooms did get very hot as there is no AC , but we were provided a small fan. I would avoid the cooked breakfast it was not good at all.

Our room was so small with a very small window ,and it was a hot spell so the room never cooled down in the evening ,

Good hotel for short stay in Eastbourne. V comfortable
Pros:

The pool, the location and the traditional atmosphere

Cons:

My original room wasn’t good. Single occupier often the way! But lovely manager moved me. One staff member behind reception not good

Love the Hydro overall and breakfast is always lovely.

Cons:

Didn’t particularly like Room 4 that we were in as not that private in Summer, especially when Garden is full of people and it’s hot and you need the windows and net curtains pulled back. Particularly high ceiling in this room as well, which is a bit weird when you are lying in bed. There was a stain in the bath, which is unusual for the hotel. However the rest of the room was clean enough, but maybe this room was not up to the usual standard that we have experienced in other rooms. Large strange stain on Wardrobe doors too.

A delightful surprise ad a welcome sea side break from the heat of London
Pros:

The staff were lovely. The gardens gorgeous, and it was so good have a pool! Good breakfast and dinner. Well placed to go down to the beach/promenade

Cons:

Unfortunately we were late to book and we had a very cramped room

Really enjoyed our stay & pool was lovely
Pros:

Location excellent

Breakfast ok but not many vegan options

Cons:

Nice size room with the heat. Maybe better fans or air con but very expensive in an old building
