Found it very relaxing
step in and out of the bathroom worried I might forget about it at night. a motion activation light in the bathroom would help.
Also the bath taps very difficult to turn on and of need to be lever taps.

Paying premium for Room with a Side Sea View was not worth it.

Reception staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. The location, so close to the seafront, is ideal for walking, views local restaurants and theatres.
Conservatory restaurant was excellent. It was quiet, easy to get a table with garden view, and service was good. We ate there every evening. Car park was full when we arrived but spaces later in the day. Swimming pool was warm and not crowded. Room had air conditionaing with remote control.
Room was smaller than expected - not really any space to place suitcases.

Also need to be able to see the bathroom entrance step, in the night - only light was also the fan too noisy
The Hydro is a beautiful old hotel, with a lovely garden overlooking the sea, which all can be viewed from the large conservatory restaurant.
There were a couple of little issues with our room, however all was rectified once we informed the management.
Vackert beläget hotell som man kan se varit mycket tjusigt en gång i tiden. Det var fint att personalen i restaurangen höll hög klass och kändes som en högtidlig gammaldags frukost. Ligger fantastiskt vid 7 Sisters vandring. Stora fina sällskapsytor i gammal stil. Vacker trädgård. Ligger nära havet. Rena rum och sköna sängar. Vi sov gott till slut!
Medelåldern på hotellets gäster kändes som runt 80 år, vilket kom som en överraskning och kanske inte var vad vi önskat. Värmebölja när vi var där och varma rum där AC saknas, men personalen var snäll och kom med en extra fläkt så ok ändå. Vi sov ändå gott. Ingen ledig säng vid poolen och lite konstigt upplägg att gå till pool via restaurang. Synd att receptionen inte svarar på telefon eller meddelanden inför ankomst, det stressar när man vill stämma av saker. Eastbourne var i övrigt ingen favorit, vilket ju absolut inte är hotellets fel men drog ner känslan på området.

Old fashioned comfortable, position outside centre of Eastbourne, breakfast and dinner very nice, outdoor swimming pool pleasantly heated, not large but adequate.
Offered tea or coffee after dinner, tea and a chocolate £4.95 each. It said at bottom of menu with petit fours! The meal was nice and fair value, but when they said do want tea or coffee the charge was a surprise.
The hotel flows wonderfully, the staff are friendly and engaging, the grounds are spotless, stunning location
