Overall nice hôtel but due to the middle East crisis very few hotel guests and some limitations.
Pros:

The gym is awesome. Fair price.

Cons:

They are rennovating and therefore not all lifts work, the upper pool is not open and they cut partially the a/c (rooms were 100% ok).

Pros:

Rooms are generously sized. The design is great, not the standard offering. The artworks are interesting and geographically sourced. Good coffee and breakfast. Main pool had crystal clear water with attentive lifeguards and pool staff.

Cons:

The Maintainance and housekeeping standards ( particularly in the public areas)were well below expectations of a five star hotel. Visible areas ( glass box lift shafts) have not been cleaned or maintained for years. Similarly for the ceiling glass of the entrance lobbies. Lots of wires Hanging about the place. The hand held shower units in my room were a disgrace and the HansGrohe Philippe Stark designed bath taps were missing bits, for a property selling itself as five star hotel. The hot water took forever- highly wasteful. A lot of noise, at least two floors closed off with ongoing work. The great carpet design was worn and threadbare and lifting In places. Rooftop pool closed. Cuba bar closed. I have stayed in this hotel previously in its early years of operation C. 2014. I understand a new management company ( Accor?)) has recently been appointed to run the hotel. It is clear that the previous operator ( JUMEIRAH) did not take care of it while responsible. Which is a great shame on them. I do not understand how the property owners ( DDF) allowed it to deteriorate to this extent.

Stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed it. Very clean rooms, the best gym and spa, and very friendly staff. Loved the car park as well. Highly recommended
