Idéalement situé pour visiter les Cotswolds, cet hôtel a répondu à toutes nos attentes. Délicieux restaurant à l'hôtel, très bon petit déjeuner, personnel aimable. A noter que nous avions réservé la chambre avec baignoire et douche qui est comme une petite suite. Et elle a l'avantage de ne pas être trop chaude en cas de forte chaleur. Très bon choix!

Comfortable bed, good food and ideal stop over in the Cotswolds.
Pros:

It was so lovely to find staff, engaging and genuinely welcoming here. The room was clean and bed comfortable. They have a competent chef here who produced perfectly cooked lamb rump followed by a delicious raspberry soufflé. The waiter, who I didn’t catch his name, was excellent too, knew the dishes and recommended a perfect sweet wine for the dessert. Good selection for breakfast with table service much better than a buffet!

Cons:

For a place in a small village the road was surprisingly busy so if you are not used to traffic noise ask for a room at the back. There was an unpleasant odour in the shower room on arrival which needed attention.

This is a gem of a hotel - our favourite place. Our dinner was exceptional and the friendly owner a wonderful character.
Pros:

1. We were greeted warmly by the hotel’s owner Alex (doing her embroidery in the bar 😊). She is a great host and character.
2. Our room was beautifully furnished with highest quality curtains and bedding. Excellent bed.
3. Food is off the scale good

El encargado nos recibió con una actitud claramente molesta porque llegamos a las 22:15 horas, a pesar de que le había avisado con anticipación que iba en camino y que esa sería nuestra hora aproximada de llegada. Desde el primer momento nos hicieron sentir que nuestra presencia era una molestia.
A la mañana siguiente, la dueña nos increpó de manera agresiva, grosera y con una absoluta falta de educación. En lugar de tratar a sus huéspedes con respeto, descargó su molestia contra nosotros por las condiciones comerciales que mantiene con Booking.com. Se quejó de los supuestos “regalos a los clientes”, afirmó que debía pagar una comisión muy alta por nuestra reserva y sostuvo que, aunque nuestra reserva incluía desayuno, debíamos pagar dos desayunos porque Booking.com solo había “regalado” uno. Esa situación jamás debió ser un problema del huésped.
Después de ese trato tan desagradable, decidimos no quedarnos a desayunar. Al momento de retirarnos, la dueña nos despidió diciéndonos, en un perfecto inglés: “You are not welcome anymore”.

Sin duda, ha sido una de las peores experiencias de hospitalidad que hemos vivido. Es inaceptable que un establecimiento haga responsables a sus huéspedes de los acuerdos comerciales que mantiene con una plataforma de reservas y que, además, los trate con semejante hostilidad y falta de respeto. Lo que debía ser una estadía agradable terminó siendo una experiencia incómoda y completamente decepcionante.

Great location for our visit to the Cotswold lavender farm. Lovely character property, clean and tidy, comfy bed, lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the English Summer.

Room was on the small side, but well equipped none the less.

Nice place, just don’t book the outbuilidng!

Cons:

Our room was basically a shed immediately adjacent to the pub’s outdoor eating area with the only, small, window looking directly onto tables so no privacy and noisy when people there. Wall light shined in the window so couldn’t have airflow at night.
Had we been in The main building, experience would probably have been better.
Fairly tight quarters.
